A huge thanks to Lesley and the amazing people at the Edinburgh office for all their efforts. I applied for a position a few weeks ago, and felt very supported throughout the process. The team was consistently responsive, transparent and friendly and made the overall experience a very positive one.
Very disappointed at having my request to register turned down as I feel it was completely unjustified. At least this time I did get a response, as on an earlier attempt I never received any communication from them at all. It seems that unless you have worked in the domestic sector from finishing education, you are not going to be deemed a 'suitable candidate'.
Retired from NHS after nearly 40 years as a senior degree trained staff nurse. Have been working part time at Scone Palace in Perth as house keeper for the last year past Sept which I rather enjoy. Unhelpful and unprofessional staff. I made an enquiry here about a job that was posted online, and based on the two brief telephone conversations I had with their staff, and the unhelpful and quite defensive response of the person handling this post, I am not going to apply for the job. I think agencies often forget that recruitment is a 2 way street and that it's in their best interests to maintain good relations with potential candidates. This one was no exception.
