The food was good as always. The potion can be larger though; it hardly fed a man full, just let me not hungry. The servers there were poker-faced, but don't get me wrong, they werent rude or anything. It's actually the customers there built up the atmosphere. There're a few tables chatting and enjoying their food and drinks.

What a spot! From the outside this place looks like a typical local cafe but inside they are cooking up some seriously good Asian style food with generous portions and great flavour. We highly recommend the crispy noodles with oyster sauce and we cannot stress enough how good the Hong Kong style french toast is! The Beehive does cater to those looking for the more traditional cafe experience with a separate menu of brunch items and sandwiches, in addition to their impressive looking over-the-top milkshakes if that's your thing but seriously do not sleep on their Asian menu.

It’s quite busy so that’s why the food wait a little bit long. The third meal came after the two meals have finished. The crispy noodle taste little bit too mild. The milk tea the milk taste too strong, can’t taste any tea inside. But price and portion size is alright.

Very confused as this was originally a coffee house but when we found out they do Japanese food in the evening, we thought we'd give it a go! Food was delicious...we ordered takoyaki, battered crab claws and squid, eel with rice, a beef stir fry with rice and selection of mochi ice cream. All of it was delicious and had a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and accommodating too :)

This place looks like a cafΓ© from the outside, but once you step in, you’ll find it serves a variety of Hong Kong-style stir-fried dishes and small plates. The flavors are authentic and haven’t been compromised to suit British tastes. We tried the poached beef in chili oil (Sichuan style), the salt and pepper squid, the dry-fried green beans, the soy sauce chicken, salt ans pepper pork chop and the stir-fried clams. Every dish was incredibly delicious and captured the true essence of Hong Kong cuisine. We also took some photos that show how appetizing everything looked. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Hong Kong flavors!

Went primarily to treat the grandchildren. They loved the look of their freakshakes. Trying to finish them was a different matter. Way too sweet. NOT for the faint hearted! The vegan freakshake was enjoyed by my daughter. My brie and cranberry toastie was more like a warm jam sandwich, not what I expected at all. The service was excellent though, and everywhere very clean. But a bit overrated in my opinion and quite expensive.

Beehive is a lovely cafe in Downend. We seemed to have arrived just at the right moment as a large queue formed waiting for tables after we sat down. I had a English breakfast and my daughter has a Nutella freakshake. Both reasonably priced and the fryup was also reasonably tasty. The milkshakes seemed to be the most popular here.

So we found this place due to their incredible freakshakes on Instagram Location It's on the outskirts of the centre in a small arcade of shops. We found parking on the road fairly easy but can imagine that parking could be an issue. I would say overall it was easy to find and was located in a nice area. Interior This place is loved. It is very clear that the team take pride in their workspace. I found the cafe to be clean and the batista area is organised and often cleaned during the day. The decor is lovely and the toilets were well kept. The sign behind the counter is a very nice piece of interior design. Overall no complaints here Service Nice to see a small cafe with a healthy number of staff. I think they get very busy as there was a small army ready to serve. I found all interactions to be pleasant. I wouldn't say they went above and beyond but then again with our order of a freakshakes only it would have been strange for them to do anything which stood out at extraordinary. Food/drink We had the freakshake of the week which was Cadbury. Not going to lie, it was pure sugar and very indulgent. Just brilliant!! I will add that all the real food that they were serving to others looked great (even the toast and jam looked solid!) Price So I feel that this place is on the upper side of value, they are pushing it in terms of price but to be honest I would pay it again as the whole experience felt that little bit nicer than the ordinary cafe scene. What's an extra Β£1 or 2 for somewhere that you enjoy spending an hour or so! Overall If I lived closer I would pay this place a regular visit. I think it's a little gem in Bristols cafe scene.
