Amazing service, delicious food, nice decor, knocking a star off atmosphere, due to a very "chatty" customer (talking nonstop, from before we arrived) making us wanting to go as soon as we finished chewing
Booked a table for 4 tonight Had to try and attract waiters attention at every stage despite being nearly empty. Asked if the horseradish mash served with the beef bourguignon was strong was told no When it arrived it was the weirdest beef Bourguingnon I’ve ever seen. loads of tiny carrots ( obviously frozen) scattered on the top of mash and some black bits of beef Mash was awful so strong with the horseradish it burnt your nose!!! Beef was awful black fatty and tough Caught waiters attention (eventually) and said it wasn’t good he removed both plates and didn’t return!! Eventually caught his attention again… and asked what was happening with our meals!! He looked perplexed!! I asked if there was an alternative as we were very hungry or even an apology! Or any communication whatsoever!! Blank!! Asked for a manger Eventually someone came over and after a bit of discussion ie what were they going to do about the awful food she asked if they could offer us a sweet Being ravenous by this time we chose a sweet which duly arrived and was edible. Went to pay the bill and …. Yip we had been charged for the deserts !!! At this point we gave up!! Truly awful food and service Having frequented Breizh throughout the last 20 years I can honestly say I’m so upset with how far it’s gone downhill No wonder it’s always deserted
A pizza and a burger took almost an hour to appear from the kitchen, both of which were nice enough but nothing special. The burger was far too greasy (left visible yellow staining on my partners hands). Staff were very friendly to us but seemed visibly irritated with each other which made for a slightly strange atmosphere. Group of young men in the kitchen(?) downstairs lounging around listening to rock music with the door open was quite a confronting image when trying to find the toilets. Staff adapted the pizza for us but otherwise no vegan options - not even a plant milk alternative for coffee. Being able to sit outside to eat was nice. I guess ‘nice’ sums it up overall, but not somewhere we’ll return.
Had a lunch here this week with my mother & daughter. Can't fault a thing. Service was excellent, food was delicious, wine was nicely chilled, good value for money. Special shout out to the team for being diplomatic and discreet when emotions got the better of us for a short spell, it was much appreciated. Can't wait to come back! Thank you.
Lovely meal at Breizh, excellent food, superb service! We had a generous portion of mussels for starters. Inspired by the other reviews, we decided to give the unique savoury crêpes a try. They were simply delicious, and overflowing with cheese. Our other main, the lamb chops with mushroom risotto was absolutely divine! We finished off with the banana crepe with Jack Daniels sauce, which was also lovely! Would definitely return to try out other menu items at Breizh!!!
Had a lovely lunch, ox tongue salad with creamy horseradish and dill sauce was tasty very delicate. Also got the pleasure of trying their pizza. All very tasty. They do a nice coffee aswell.
We were super happy! I booked for our anniversary through email and they were really sweet. Set lunch was lovley. My one criticism would be the fish cakes need a punchy element. Some capers or tartar sauce to give it a zingy depth. The salsa wasn't quite there but the cakes were fab. Thank you so much for a great time!
Great menu (incl. menu of the day) and very delicious, authentic and well portioned food. The staff is also very friendly - perfect place for a date night or dinner with friends.
Really disappointed. The menu looks great and it seemed like other diners enjoyed their food, especially the galettes which I now wish I’d ordered. My partner and I both ordered the moules frites (Normandy and Mariniere). Despite it being a good time of year to eat mussels, they were terrible. They were gritty, with lots of broken shell and they had a horrible after taste. My fries were also over cooked and hard. The waitress asked how our meal was and she did offer to replace it for me however we had no time and so politely declined. When the bill came we had been given 10% off which amounted to £3.70, meaning we had still paid £27 for the food despite the fact I did not eat my meal. We didn’t want to argue so we left but sadly will never return.
Amazing food and lovely staff. The presentation was exquisite and nice options. Though French , the wood fired oven making pizza was the most popular option among the diners when we went!
