Bloody love this place as a nice spot to work from. Oat and alternative milk is FREE which as a lactose intolerant person is really appreciated. Lovely atmosphere and I've never had any of the food but just tried a brownie and wow. Very nice!
Great atmosphere, it wasn’t obvious they did brunch but we were glad we asked as it was delicious. Super friendly staff, decent music as well.

Great coffee and food. They love dogs too so your pooch wont be short of a few treats! Always happy to see Aussie/Kiwi treats at the counter too! Definitely worth a visit.
What a lovely café! The staff are really friendly and attentive. Great service. The menu is short and simple, but the food was delicious. Quality ingredients really well prepared. The salmon in my Eggs Royale was something special. The place is light and airy, lots of space out the back. Simple, relaxed feel. Coffee was good too, and brought early while we waited for friends to arrive. My new favourite café.
Great place for all things cafe! So many nooks to sit in, it has all the atmosphere you need, but it's intimate too. Brunch menu contains eggs, which were perfect! We love eggs. Ingredients sourced locally too! Drinks were great. I had an oat chai latte. Staff were peffectly friendly. Would highly recommend
We had a wonderful breakfast at Burra. The cafe is really well designed and cute. The staff are extremely friendly with quick service. The coffee is excellent, and the breakfast had many vegetarian options. They are dog and baby friendly. Highly recommend!
I was looking for some where different to meet my Sister for our usual Brunch meeting and I was struggling. There are certain criteria that have to be met when agreeing a venue: First, she has to know where it is and her knowledge base is limited. There has to be easy parking (even though she has a Fiat 500 its not always easy to find a parking space in Horfield or indeed anywhere in Bristol and when you do it can be tricky to navigate into the slot with the amount of traffic). It has to be mutually convenient for both of us, so some where roughly equidistant between Sea Mills and Frampton Cotterell. The Cafe should offer a fairly balanced menu. I like a full English she loves anything with avocado. Cafe Jackalope seemed to fit the bill. I was a bit early so I treated myself to a Paper, some thing I rarely buy now, accessing my new's on line. I took my paper to the Cafe, ordered a glass of fresh Elderflower and Ginger juice ( £2) and settled down to wait. Its a pretty good spot to while away some time. You can watch the world go by out on the street, read all the posters for craft workshops and activities that are so abundant in this part of Bristol whilst listening to some eclectic music on the sound system. The seating is a bit utilitarian in that the chairs are all old wooden recycled units and the tables are scrubbed (or not) old wooden affairs. The floor too was exposed wooden boards, though I was concerned to see a metal strip had come away from the door mat and was sticking up menacingly waiting to trip some one or even worse cut a toe given the popularity of open toed sandals in this neck of the woods. So, half an hour late, slightly soggy and out of breath my Sister eventually made her entrance. Once she had caught her breath she too a look at the menu and went for the first option on the list. 'Avocado, Halloumi and tomato on Sour Dough Toast (£8.25) and it was a good choice. Everything was made fresh by the lady behind the counter and the portions were good too. My Sister had to force the last few mouth full's down. She was stuffed. She washed it down with an Americano Coffee (£2.50) and a glass of water from a jug that sat on the counter. I went for some thing really special (they didn't have a full English and I don't think the ethos of the place embraced Bacon or sausage). Two Boiled eggs with Sour Dough soldiers ( £3.50) and two Crumpets with Marmite (£2). This was a great choice but, sourdough doesn't make great Soldiers and I would have preferred ordinary bread cut into fingers, so I could dip them in the egg yolk, which was nice and runny. There was sea salt available on the table but it was a bit too grainy for the boiled eggs. I would have liked some finer table salt as an option. We stayed talking for a good while so I needed two pots of tea to keep me going at £1.80 a pot whilst my sister had a fresh Orange Juice (£2.85). This Cafe was a good find, It had a pleasant atmosphere, it was comfortable and the food was good though a bit expensive and given the amount of competition locally they may well find it hard to compete. This type of Cafe is ideally suited to Gloucester Rd where I hope there are enough like minded people to support it, but its a niche market and passing customers looking for a Bacon Sarnie will go else where. However, I had my first stamp on my loyalty card today and I intend to go back and get another.
