I brought my mother to Tynetesfield for the day. The Cow barn is a lovely place to have a beverage and a spot of lunch.

Dry cake and weak coffee. To quote Ted Lasso it’s β€œbrown sadness water”. NT really needs to get its act together

Need to sort out their pricing. Β£9.50 for a quiche the size of a mince pie is ridiculous. Quiche was bland and didn’t taste fresh. A bit of salad thrown on the side. They also forgot to give me the flapjack I’d paid for so had to go back in the long queue again to ask for it. Was hoping for a nice lunch out but very disappointed.

Reasonably large NT restaurant at Tyntesfield, right next to the gift shop. The food is good, and fresh. The choice is not particularly wide, but there's a reasonable mix of hot and cold dishes. And some excellent desserts and cakes. Service is good, and the staff are helpful and friendly. They'll happily find high chairs for younger children. Some of the tables are in cattle stalls, making it easy for a group to converse. People with limited mobility may need to be aware of the uneven stone floor - inevitable of course in an adapted barn.

Almost Β£4.00 for another mediocre latte at the Cow Barn Cafe Tyntesfield today. No consistency in the coffee presentation, photo of my latte compared to a latte served on the next table, spot the difference. Some "barrista" training might be helpful.

Great cafe with a large choice of cake and of course National Trust scones. Mocha I had tasted lovely and can highly recommend the jacket potatoes.

Like most museum or National Trust cafΓ©s, the menu is limited and the counter a bit like a production line. However, the seating area is interesting and the tagine we had was very good.

Standard National Trust cafe, a decent pasty and a large chocolate brownie were the diet option! Great to see a dog friendly area here, usually thr dog owner has to walk on by the NT cafΓ©s!

Getting a lunch snack here was fraught, it took so long to get the food after ordering what should have been served immediately. We ordered 2xsoups, jacket potato, a pasty, & cheesy wedges, after 40 minutes we asked where it was, it took a further 20 minutes (& the wedges never arrived). Every one was suffering similarly. This should have been an easy food production process, but it wasn't. Normally I would tolerate this but there was no feedback on how long the food would take, so lots of people kept indoors waiting (in our case an hour), on a wet day, during a high covid period, which was surely a recipe for infection spreading.
