   Popped in for lunch. Food was good (bacon and egg bap with a proper fried egg!). Coffee was also good. Pleasant staff. A good price. What's not to like!

   Been here a while and it shows. Staff are lovely, but I think they are resting on the fact they have no immediate competition. Inside and outside seating, plenty of space, but sadly dated. Wouldn't take too much to make it more attractive and gain more custom.

   Very disappointing. Queue quickly built up after ice cream machine had issue yet no other staff member offered to help. Extortionate price for poor quality coffee and cake served in paper cup and chip tray. On requesting plastic spoon was told nothing else available. Won't be going back.

   Breakfast bap was nice. Coffee was a bit weak but froffy milk on top tasted great. Worth a visit. I was a bit too early (10am) to try the fish and chips Great location right by the beach front and lake Toilets are the public toilets block next door and cost 20p to enter.

   Lunched here today (18 November 2022). Very friendly service, food freshly cooked with excellent batter around the fish. A most enjoyable experience. Will eat at the Lakeside Cafe again. Well done.

   Absolutely terrible, run by kids who don’t have any manners, are walking round on their phones rather than cleaning the dirty tables. Received someone else’s order and the waitress left us to explain to this other table why we had received their order…absolute joke. Place is dirty and overpriced, probably long overdue a visit from the food and hygiene services.

   Pretty bland cafe, just like the tea I had because they didn’t have any non dairy alternatives. They seriously need a 21st century update. If it wasn’t for keeping my parents happy I would have gone somewhere else. I personally won’t be returning.

   Queues because loads of people returning coffee - server blamed it on the ‘crap’ machine. Overcharged £5 on a £12 bill. No slushy for our 5 year old because machine not working although it was going around. No sandwiches available and indeed the coffee tasted poor. Moderately busy Sunday but plenty of tables available so not unexpectedly so. I can only imagine that people have been here before and do not want to waste their money

   Had freshly made chips here. Place is clean, the service is really good, with friendly staff. Will return again for the fresh, tasty chips as well!
