I was admitted to word 7 Sunday 14th of December under urgent care and I would like to Thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and surgical team who took care of me. They have provided outstanding care throughout my experience. Everyone was professional, kind, and attentive, always ensuring I felt informed, comfortable, and well supported. Their teamwork and dedication were truly reassuring, and I am very grateful for the excellent care I received. Thank you, yous are all amazing.

Monday 8th Nov 2025 3am The flame of life my darling had carried started to flicker as it had done at other times on her journey through life. This time as I rushed to be by her side. I feared the worse .I arrived and my first love was softly breathing with the aid of technology. I sat and held her hand , I gently stroke her peaceful face, remembering her face could see equally look quite ferocious in moments of anger . This however was all about the here and now and time was not a friend. We were once again close enough to openly tell each other we loved one another . History now shows my last words to her were” I love you” and hers to me were identical. She was sedated the next time I saw her. I sat on the bed and held her hand in mine and then adjusted my position so I could cuddle her also. As the time slipped away so did she, the nurse gently told me and I quote” she has gone now”. I wanted to push those words back into the nurses mouth . Instantly miss you drops rolled down my checks and I found myself saying β€œ yes please to the nurse . Her question was β€œcan I get you another tea”. Her next words in a softly comforting tone told me I could stay as long as I like. I took advantage of that offer and continued to talk to the girl that was my first love . Time seemed to fall away without a fight. The magnificent nursing team continued to offer me tea or coffee. Yet another coffee came, I now had both my hands on Ninaβ€˜s arm. With my left hand, I reached for the freshly made drink and took a couple of mouthfuls before placing the cup back on the saucer,my hand went back on to Nina’s arm. This time her arm was cold and I realised that she really was gone. Now she was either with her mum, brother and son in the place we call Heaven or she doesn’t even know she is dead because her conscious thoughts just simply died with her .. Needless to say one is much more beautiful for the living. However because it’s lovely doesn’t not mean it’s true. I can’t remember our first innocent kiss, now more than 50 years ago. I will remember our last until it’s my turn to go . I can’t thank the hospital staff enough. They were truly magnificent from the moment I walked in until my heavy legs had to walk away. This grateful old soul that lost his first love ,will remember the doctor’s and nurses kindness always . Keith Moore

Many thanks to 9 Wells and in particular to Ward 2 for my successful healing. The teams of nurses were remarkable for their skill, humour and understanding of patients. The sheer skill of the consultant Dr John Todd ensured my rapid recovery over 5 days 4th - 9th November 2025. The delicious fare offered by the Kitchen was a real morale boost. Thank God for 9 Wells and the NHS. Geoffrey Hall ( Army Chaplain rtd )

Review: Disappointing MRI Appointment Experience We had an MRI appointment scheduled for 14:15, but unfortunately, we weren’t taken for the scan until 15:30. To make matters worse, we were then taken to an external MRI scanner, which added to the delay and confusion. It’s incredibly frustrating to have such poor time management, especially in a clinical setting where patients are often already anxious or in pain. It felt like a complete waste of time and resources. There clearly needs to be a better system in place to manage scheduled appointments separately from emergency cases. Right now, everything seems to be lumped together, leading to unnecessary delays for patients who have booked in advance. Someone really needs to take responsibility and sort this out.

The worst A&E I have ever visited. They do not prioritise accidents or injuries. Also they treat people base on the ethnicity or race. My wife’s hand got burnt and we went to the hospital around 8pm. They took 4 people inside who came after us and when I questioned it they laughed at me and they blamed me. If you are black or asian do not visit this hospital, they will not treat you properly. It is 9.40 pm and still we are waiting at the queue.

I am being quite generous with the one-star rating. The patient-care is appalling. I have been in hospital for almost a week and yet no-one has even given me at least 30 minutes of attention for my painful state. They think because I am more on the young side that I am perfectly fine, whilst my abdomen pain is unbearable and they keep giving me morphine as if that will stop my pain - find the cause instead of dismissing my feelings and pain? The gynaecology department looks straight out of the 70s and the person who sent me to that department made me sit in horrible pain on a chair and said do not touch the bed because they’ll have to clean it. What on Earth? A bed is more important than my state? They also keep shrugging me off and trying to send me home with NO diagnosis or anything. Just a bunch of painkillers that keep me awake all night in pain. Its absurd. A disgrace. I know being in healthcare is a pressurising job but why get into this career if you cannot even adhere to the necessary skills to deal with patients? Where is the empathy? Where is the patient care? Its a disgrace. Its an absolute disgrace.

Brilliant place staffs are friendly and helpful from reception area to medical departments to canteen . Neurology department exceptional brilliant attentive caring staffs . Massive place but very well sign posted so it’s easy to find your way and very clean . I only rate 4 star because all car park are full and nowhere to go we waited for over an hour from 8 am . So I would say give yourself plenty time for parking. Another exceptional service they got translators in so many languages including sign language.
