We attended the Mother’s Day workshop last week and it was fantastic! The venue and brunch were lovely and John and the team were fantastic. They answered any questions we had and helped us create beautiful bouquets. The whole day was excellent value for money and we all enjoyed the day. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to book again!!
Attended a Christmas Centrepiece Workshop today and what a fabulous time we had. John our host was so fun, patient and a great guide. He did a demonstration then supported us all the way. We were served Prosecco, cream scones and a lovely lunch. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning/afternoon, it was so therapeutic. Highly recommended and great value for money. I am delighted with the results and can’t wait for more workshops in the Spring. Xx
I went to one of Lakes & Rivers’ wreath making classes in November 2024 and all I can say is that it was fantastic from start to finish. The class took place onsite in the most magical workshop which made everything feel like even more Christmassy. We were provided with a glass of Prosecco on arrival as well as an afternoon tea style box with cakes and sandwiches which were delicious and so well presented. John, walked us through how to make the wreath with demonstrations and he and the team (Jan was brilliant!!) provided everything you needed. All the foliage was so fresh and the smell was incredible. I cannot recommend doing this workshop any more. It was fantastic and such good value for money. I will definitely be going back next year!

What stood out the most was the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. It felt like a wonderful mix of learning, socialising, and connecting with nature. I left the class with a gorgeous wreath that I’m proud to display and new skills I can use in the future. If you're looking for a creative and uplifting activity, I highly recommend the classes at Lakes and Rivers Flower Farm. It’s a delightful way to celebrate the season and make lasting memories!
I did a workshop here recently and had such a lovely afternoon I have raved about it ever since. Great value for money. John and his team were super friendly and knowledgeable and they really care about the environment. They clearly love what they do and the flowers are beautiful. My flower basket is in pride of place on my table. Highly recommended. I will order all my flowers from here and would definitely do more workshops.
This was a brilliant day making a natural Christmas wreath. It was a lovely atmosphere and John & Tony couldn't have been more helpful. It was also very good value for money. Lots of foliage ,no restrictions on how much you wanted to use. I would definitely go again.
I absolutely loved this experience. I attended with my mum and the two of us really enjoyed our 3 hours of wreath making. I never thought I could do something like that but with John's and his team's (Tony and Caroline)expert teaching, it all came together and I was so proud of my wreath (as was my mum). I'll definitely be attending next year!
Christmas Wreath Making Event. What a fantastic event! From the welcome given as you arrive and friendliness of all staff involved. Nothing was too much trouble from start to finish. I would recommend John and his team. I am definitely looking forward to booking next year.
A brilliant afternoon from start to finish. Lovely venue at the Hope Street Hotel. Delicious afternoon tea, followed by the most enjoyable wreath making session. Great fun, clear instructions. The team from Lakes and Rivers couldn't have been more helpful! All the resources were provided, and I now have a beautiful Christmas wreath hanging in my porch. Hope to repeat it all again next year. Highly recommended! Thanks so much to all concerned.
