   We came for a quick drink after shopping in Yate on a Friday afternoon. Be warned the pub was basically a crèche post school hours, there was about 15 children running around the back of the pub throwing balls, climbing on tables and shouting without a parent in sight. Pints are averagely priced (£5-£6) but tasted good. Server behind the bar was friendly and chatty. The place itself is generally quite old and worn. First thing we seem was an overflowing bin outside the front door that had strewn rubbish all over the grass, the outside could generally do with some TLC, even just a sweep!

   Great food at reasonable price. Large pub indoors and great beer garden at the front. Visited on a Thursday night and had a quiz on with lots on participant's. Would recommend the steak and ale pie

   Came in for some food and drinks with friends. We had a lovely experience, the staff were friendly and funny. We met the boss Poppy and could not have felt more welcomed. She was warm and engaging, giving us a very enthusiastic wave from across the bar. Food was good, had a burger and it hit the spot. Overall a lovely time, I’ll definitely be back.

   A group of us tried to visit for an afternoon of drinks and food but we couldn’t even park as the car park was full with parents picking their kids up from school, we continued down the road to a pub called the Farmhouse, parked with ease. Glad we found this lovely pub which serves a super pint at a sensible price and they’ve got a pool table too!!

   The lawns have changed hands and the food has improved massively! The quality is impeccable, the service was great and we will definitely be back after avoiding this place for the last few years. I would definitely recommend anyone giving these guys another chance. It's cleaner, brighter and a much better atmosphere. 5 stars from me
