Proper pub on Gloucester Road, big menu not just ‘small plates’ like most places! Have a great selection of local lilleys ciders too! Staff are lovely even on a busy Saturday. Tommy really helped me out with ordering and let me sample a few ciders before I bought :)

Bella was amazing and a true credit to the bishops tavern. What lovely, kind customer service that definitely makes me want to return. Thanks for the baby Guinness!

Not bad, not great. My Madri tasted a bit flat and had a slight metallic aftertaste like you get from Guinness when the lines haven’t been cleaned. The staff were pleasant and nice, seating areas are decent. A coke and beer was nearly 10£, there are independent pubs on Gloucester Road offering way better value.

It is a good pub and you can take your mates there but the food is a bit to much money and the cakes in there are 10 out of 10 they are tasty and you can buy drinks and just chill in there and talk about stuff to your mates and you can your family there and on the weekends like Friday and Saturday nights you can go there for some drinks and just listen to some good music before going back home for a night cab

Very poor, overpriced Sunday roast. Inattentive staff. No table clearance. Neither the opportunity to order a dessert, or feedback about dining experience. One to avoid.

Bar staff are to busy serving their friends and giving them there discount to notice actual real customers that are waiting to pay full price! Watched 5 of the Barman’s friends get served before me when they joined the bar, well after! Not acceptable! Green king sort it out! Used to work for you, standards have clearly slipped! Will not be returning!

Great meal with my son at Bristol Universiy. Classic pub food. Even managed to grab a near 0% beer for myself and watch an FA Cup game on the big screen.

Really really nice place! A bit unknown and missed I feel but well worth a visit! Ordered the bacon & cheese burger which came with fries and 3 onion rings, plus a side of 6 onion rings because I'm greedy like that. The food was beautiful, not so much that i felt I've over eaten but enough to hit the spot. 3 pints of thatchers gold, beautiful. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

Great selection of drinks, nice food and a range of comfy seating. We came here at about 1pm on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. They have a great selection of drinks and the place is ideal for evening drinks or as we were a family lunch. They have recently added a new range to their menu which has circa 8 new dishes. These dishes are cooked from fresh and all looked good. We went for the Korean chicken wings, halloumi, houmous and flat breads and battered cod. Food was quick, well presented and full of flavour. We will be back and will next try this game(see photo) which certainly intrigued us.
