   We are regular visitors to the Wheatsheaf for a reason……. This time we ate on a busy Friday evening after an event in the village square. The pub was extremely busy and the tables fully booked. This isn’t unusual, as many people have also now discovered what a great place this is. Despite the high level of customers the service was impeccable….. friendly, good humoured and perfect on timing from taking orders through to ensuring we always had enough drinks. The food is always excellent and great value (the jerk chicken skewer was superb)! With the recent (ish) refurbishment in the restaurant, this really is a place our village can be proud of! Well done to Nick, John and the team. If your in the area, don’t miss this one!

   A lovely pub which has so much character! It’s been thoughtfully decorated to give it a charming uniqueness that really needs to be experienced. The menu offers a great selection and the food is delicious! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We travelled almost 100 miles to meet family for lunch and we are so pleased we chose The Wheatsheaf Inn, it was spot on!

   We had lunch on a Friday. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The Welsh rarebit burger was probably one of the best burgers i've had. 2 very tasty patties. The lasagne was very tasty as well.

   Food was gorgeous, well presented, good portions and tasty! Lovely bunch, but the service could have been better. We arrived and waited for arout 30mins before we had to interrupt the waitresses from their chats to ask for drinks. After our mains we were given the desert menus. Waited another 30mins to ask the waiter for our choice of desserts and during this time we didn't have any drinks left. Not very attentive. Otherwise everything else was great. Would still come again, just hope for better service.

   Had a lovely festive meal at the Wheatsheaf Inn. The atmosphere is lovely, staff are attentive and food was delicious. Gluten Free items were clearly marked, they gave me gluten free bread with my soup and they were very reassuring. I also note on their main menu they say to ask for chips to be oven cooked if you need them to be gluten free so they seem to be knowledgeable about cross contamination.

   Booked a table over the phone for Friday night. Young lad on the phone said it was busy so asked if we could come in early. I said that was fine and asked if that meant we would only have the table for a certain amount of time. He ensured me we didn't and it was just to make it easier on the kitchen staff. We arrived at 5pm and upon arrival were advised by the waitress that we would need to vacate our table by 7pm at the latest as they had a large party coming in. I said I asked this question over the phone and we were advised we would have the table all night and her response was 'well, I've only just started my shift so don't know what's going on'. As it was a special meal we did not want to be rushed and decided not to stay as we would not be able to relax knowing someone else needed our table. Thankfully for us, the Indian restaurant across the road was very accommodating and fitted us in and we were able to stay there for as long as we wanted. REALLY disappointed in our booking and if two sittings are happening customers should be advised at the time of booking instead of lying and saying we would have the table all evening. Would give it one star based on how we were treated but giving two stars as have had drinks here many times before and the quality of the drinks were excellent.
