From first to last Pete and his colleagues were a pleasure to deal with - really friendly, professional, knowledgeable and efficient.     Update 08/08/25 - As instructed below I phoned Nissan Straiton and explained who I was and the situation with my mothers Nissan pickup purchased from Western Nissan late last year and asked for Ross (as suggested in the response below). Sadly Ross wasn’t available and there was in fact some confusion about which Ross I might need. I left my name and number and was assured somebody would call me back later that day (on 31/07/25 - evidence below). Still waiting for my call back over a week later. We actually drove past the garage on our way to ikea but with no appointment there seemed little purpose in visiting. Another complete failure from the abysmal team at Western Nissan Straiton. My mother and I will be writing to Nissan directly now as advised by her new Nissan garage that she is using for servicing in Carlisle. AVOID AVOID AVOID Western Nissan - maybe a new vehicle purchase would be a better experience as they seemed perfectly capable of invoicing my mother for the purchase of the vehicle itself. ___ Posting this on behalf of my mother (same surname), as I have had to help with a bunch of the issues and it's also impacting me. My mum purchased a Nissan Navara (roughly 3 years old) from this dealership as an Approved Used Vehicle late last year (2024), supposedly backed by a full Nissan warranty and comprehensive pre-sale checks. The reality has been far from what was promised. Within months of purchase, she experienced multiple issues: 1. The car was sold with the wrong size battery, which had corroded terminals and left her stranded on a building site for hours. The AA mechanic was shocked and said it should never have passed a basic inspection. 2. Rear brake noises were reported early on, but dismissed by the garage. The discs have since been found to be heavily pitted—suggesting either a lack of proper checks or a misdiagnosis when she initially raised the concern. Yes, the battery was eventually replaced, but the fact it was fitted incorrectly in the first place—combined with the other faults—raises serious questions about the quality of their inspections and the reliability of their “approved” label. To pay the premium for an approved used vehicle and then receive an unsafe vehicle, handed over to a vulnerable pensioner, seems really appauling. This is not the type of service I have ever received from a major franchised service centre. For a supposedly vetted and warrantied vehicle, this has been a frustrating, time-consuming, and frankly unacceptable experience. I would strongly advise others to be cautious and not to take the “Approved Used” status at face value when buying from this dealer - and definitely DO NOT trust their service centre if they give a car you purchased from them the all clear for a reported issue. Having now taken the vehicle to another Nissan franchise, we are both much happier with the result and quality of service (having identified and provided video evidence of issues detected - which would have been present when requesting service from Western Nissan).

    Very poor service. Senior sales executive refused to give a test drive as they could not match the price. They were around £3000 more than buying online. I've no idea how they can stay in business. Especially with the attitude I will not use them. So no sale and I won't be using them for service either!
