   Unfriendly lady on front checkout desk... I said hello to her twice and she just looked at me with disgust and wouldn't respond. She refused to check my halfords account for discounts "we dont do that thats not how it works" she barked. She then refused to add points to my account from my purchase. Whats the point in me having this halfords account if you dont use it?!... Normally its no big deal, and staff ask if I have an account and search for my email on the POS, and everyone goes home happy. Simple stuff really... However not on this occasion apparently. I could sense the hostility and daggers coming from her eyes and simply couldn't be bothered to argue for the sake of a 12.99 purchase.

   I was in a hurry this morning to complete all my tasks. I needed to go to Halfords Wells to grab screen wash, an ice scraper, some de-icer and some Ad-Blue for my work vehicle. I was attended to by James as soon as I walked in and he helped me to find everything I needed hastily, and showed me the deals and bundles available. I was served at the till by David who helped me to the car with all my stuff. Thank you to James and David for making my visit successful and quick.

   I went in for 3 wiper blades and chose those advised by their computer. Took them home-and they didn't fit. Totally wrong. Took them back and the female assistant agreed they were wrong. She wasn't able to fit the new ones so got the manager out. He successfully fitted them, but then tried to charge me £20 plus the extra for the new blades. I politely pointed out that I hadn't asked for fitting as I was intending to fit them myself. To my surprise and with nothing said, he went outside and took the blades off again! Then blamed me for choosing the wrong ones from the computer! Horrible way to treat customers! I will never use this store again.

   We bought a bike at Halfords, then had some accidental damage, and went back to them to see what the repair would involve. The customer service was amazing! They did a lot of liasing with the manufacturer and got us a really excellent deal on the repair. The bike is now good as new. The communication was excellent throughout, they kept us informed by phone at every stage. Particular thanks to Josh at Halfords Wells, who did all the hard work on our behalf.

   Ordered online, and collected from the Wells store. My car seat was quickly retrieved from the store room and processed at the till by a charming young man, who put the two parts together and described how to fit it in the car, he offered to help me but I needed to know how it’s works so I did it by myself in the car park. No problem, and I left the packaging for recycling. Very pleased. My granddaughter loved her new seat on the school run today.
