“Best garage I've used! I've taken quite a few cars/vans to get fixed here, and they're always quick, cheap, honest, and Ben at the front desk has always taken the time the explain in layman's terms what's wrong and how they're going to fix the issue. Once they've worked out the issue, they always check with you before ordering parts to fix. On many occasions they haven't charged me anything because they solved the issue within an hour of getting the car in!”

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had a compression issue on my Corsa. Like other reviewers I had already been to other mechanics and been disappointed. Gary solved it no problem and for a lot less than I was expecting. The car ran so well on the way home I literally laughed. Absolutely top job. Very happy customer.”

“Updated review: discarding my previous review, jake has worked hard to getting the issues resolved and getting in touch with me. He has agreed to resolve the issues for me and clarified my rights to full refund etc if I wanted it. Disagreement appears to have been a breakdown in communication and not bad costumer service.”

First visit was for a broken window regulator a few months back, explained exactly what was going on over the phone before they had to order a different part - no unexpected costs. Second visit recently for service & MOT. Again quick and professional at a reasonable price. I'm happy to have found a garage I can count on and recommend to others.”

“An excellent experience. Western Automotive did everything they could to fit my car in for an MOT with very little notice. All staff were incredibly friendly. I was taken through the advisories in detail and costings were given for different branded parts. The quotes given included labour and seemed very reasonable compared to other garages. “Fantastic service. I visited to buy a fire extinguisher because my brake had seized an I was concerned about a fire issues. No garages were able to fix the issue immediately in order for me to return to Cardiff. The assistant manager phoned around for me and arranged for a mobile mechanic to fit a new caliper outside their shop. Truly tremendous service and the repair was excellent value too. I’d thoroughly recommend this branch for their helpfulness and personal thanks to the assistant manager for her invaluable help!”

“Took my car in for two new tyres, Martyn looked at my car and explained I would need three and recommended that my tracking was tested. When I came to pick up my car he showed me the report and said I did not need any further work which made me feel reassured. He was a true gentleman, it can be intimidating going into a garage as a woman but he was honest and polite. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my car here again.”

“I don’t usually write reviews, but today I want to express my appreciation for Halfords Longwell Green. I’ve been struggling with an intermittent stalling issue on my Mercedes CLA— the RPM would rise, but the car wouldn’t move. I visited Mercedes Filton four times, and although they replaced the EGR valve, intake manifold, intercooler, and torque sensor, the problem persisted. Even during my last visit, they couldn’t identify the fault. Feeling hopeless, I went to Halfords for a routine service and shared my frustration with them. That’s when I met Adam, who previously worked at Mercedes Bath. He quickly diagnosed the issue and recommended simply changing the gearbox oil, which had become too sluggish. He also mentioned that checking the oil condition should be standard procedure for this type of transmission issue. After the oil change, the gear shifts feel incredibly smooth, and I feel relieved at last. I’ll keep an eye on the car over the next few weeks, but I’m hopeful the issue won’t return.”
