   This company diagnosed a problem on my partners car that wasn’t there. When we collected the car the same problem was there after they charged thousands of pounds. We taken the car to a genuine bmw garage and with in minutes of a proper smoke test been done the car was fixed and cost less than £200. I would avoid this company at all costs. They say on the phone that bmw have no clue what there on about and they did there job right. Refused to reimbursed any money as well. Shocking joke of a place. If I could give a -10* that’s what they would get

   Had a flywheel fault with my car, and the AA man who came out recommend them to me. Shane and his team were great and very professional. They fixed that issue, plus a coolant leak. Just had them service and MOT my car at the same time. Would thoroughly recommend.

   Worst Review Possible I urge everyone to avoid Western Automotive at all costs. I purchased a Polo GTI 1.8 for £15,000, hoping it would be a long-lasting family car. Instead, it turned into a complete nightmare. The problems began just one week after purchase when the ECU started hanging, and I was shockingly told to try and fix it myself—despite the car being under a 12-month warranty. Upon inspection, I found loads of residue and glue in multiple places, further evidence of the poor condition of the vehicle. Things only got worse. While I was pregnant, I had to endure the stress of constant car issues, including the car overheating in the middle of the night due to the water pump exploding and failing—multiple times. These incidents left me stranded and cost me over £1,500 in repairs, despite still being under warranty. Western Automotive repeatedly ignored my requests for help, showing no care for their customers or accountability for the faulty car they sold me. When we discovered the car had been in a serious accident and poorly repaired before being sold to us, we attempted mediation through the AA (as they claim to be AA-approved), but Western Automotive denied any fault. We had no choice but to take Shane Adam Gilmore and Western Automotive to small claims court. The court, with all the evidence provided by us and our insurance company, ruled in our favor for the full value of the car. However, Gilmore has ignored all court paperwork and still has not made the payment ordered by the court. This dealership is a disgrace—dishonest, negligent, and unprofessional. The entire experience has been a source of immense stress and financial loss. I would never recommend anyone buy from Western Automotive. Stay far away.

   Shane was brilliant. Listened, made time, offered great advice and delivered an excellent service, valeting and doing some minors repairs in my car before handing back to leasing company. Even did some last minute changes for me with no bother. Really impressed. Trustworthy.

   An excellent experience. Western Automotive did everything they could to fit my car in for an MOT with very little notice. All staff were incredibly friendly. I was taken through the advisories in detail and costings were given for different branded parts. The quotes given included labour and seemed very reasonable compared to other garages. Really friendly and professional service. Will be back!

   Purchased a mercedes sl from 2003 from this dealer in 2021. the vehicle is pure scrap and, as it turns out, has damage caused by the flood, especially to all the electronics. all of this was kept secret at the time of sale. the car cost me thousands of pounds and now it can only be used for spare parts. paid 7k by the way. very disappointing, annoying and expensive.

Just changed my Fiat 500 for a slightly newer Hybrid model with extremely low miles, I’m absolutely delighted with the car and the way the team at Western Automotive looked after me.    I dealt with Angie. Lovely girl,shes very approachable. Helped me every step of the way. Even Shane text me while he was on holiday. Angie made sure Ford Focus was in tip top condition. Now my housemate wants same car from them. I highly recommend them. I will definitely send anyone to them.

   My brother brought a car about a week ago and has had nothing but problems with the car as soon as he got home After contacting the dealers (Shane) he was nothing but rude and aggressive swearing down the phone I’m front of his daughter which is absolutely horrific behaviour from a dealership and back tracking on what he was saying. Shane also said it had work carried out 1 hour before it was collected but the paper works stated different he is full of lies and can not be trusted

   From my very first contact with Angie to the moment the keys were handed over for my new car, the service I experienced from Western Automotive was second to none. Angie worked with my finance company to ensure a swift sales process and the car was not released to me until they were sure that any little issues had been resolved. Throughout the process the communication was fantastic and Angie really exceeded all expectations with the service provided, even coming to collect me so I could view the car as I was without a car at the time. I would highly recommend Western Automotive to anyone.
