Visited Vets Now on sunday evening. Was taken straight away, after my dog ate grapes. Staff were friendly and efficient, explained procedure thoroughly, and assited me through the insurance claim process, quick, professional service. Would not hesitate to use again or recommend to friends
The vet that we saw was very good and took our dog straight away once we arrived. She was thorough with her examination. No issue's with that side of it. What I will say is the fee that is charged before anyone even looks at your pet is absolutely ridiculous, poor animals are going to suffer as a result of these charges as many people won't be able to afford it. I find it totally disgusting that these big companies that have taken over vet practices and increased the prices, making profit on animals being unwell and pet owners struggling to pay. Pet insurance is a total scam too. What happened to good old veterinary practices that were there for the welfare of the animal, not out to make as much money as possible out of them. So this is why my score is so low. Not a reflection on the person we saw as she doesn't make the prices up.
Amazing team helped us this weekend. Everyone was so friendly, professional and reassuring after our dog managed to eat chocolate. They saw us straight away and were so good with her. Definitely recommend Vets Now Kirkcaldy!
I really appreciated the full level of support from Vets Now when my dog injured his toe. From the phone call right to the next steps for handling the insurance, the process was smooth and efficient, and the vets were wonderful and made sure my pet was looked after and I was kept informed throughout the process. The receptionist even greeted me at the door and knew to expect me and when, so internal communication is excellent. I very much appreciated the level and quality of service.
From the moment my cat was transferred from St Clair Vet to Vet Now. They were nothing short of amazing. The attention and care they gave my cat, who has a life threatening infection, was honestly amazing. Thank you to the reception team who took so many calls from me and to the vets Nicola, Ellie and Alyon who demonstrated extreme professionalism, kindness and genuine compassion for a very uncertain and sensitive situation. We really are very grateful for everything you did for Steve. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
Sadly had to take my cat for an overnight stay after a traumatic evening and I was so pleased with a warm welcome and such a caring team. He was well looked after even when he was a very angry boy (understandably as he had a catheter in) and was handed over to me with full debrief and care for me me in the morning. I now feel relaxed if he has to have an overnight stay again or emergency care overnight which hopefully will not need! Thank you to all the team!
Very professional at addressing everything from advantages to disadvantages and what might have to be done to continue pets life and happiness with owner together. Gave me answers to all my questions I asked and care when I decided on my decision. I would recommend for everything in short amount of time of been called from 1st notice. Thanks for being there.
I had to use vets now during the holidays as my own vet was closed. As it was 4am I had access to little funds, they required payment at the time of treatment and wouldn't carry out any exploratory treatment which resulted in my pet being put to sleep so he wouldn't suffer. Avoid vets now if you possibly can.
Terrible service!!!. Zero compassion by nurse on arrival with my dog. She had terrible attitude. I was taking my boy to be put to sleep. He had been deteriorating for months and his back legs had gone from him..she rolled her eyes, tutted and stormed away into the room as I refused to allow her to carry him. She demanded that she had to assess him. Not in the middle of the car park she didn’t!? he was settled and calm in my arms. Cuddled in. Nothing was to be gained by giving him to her. It would have just stressing him out. She made a terrible attempt at an apologise when in the room as I think she sensed her bad attitude was not going down well. She then proceeded to try and be overly nice, who I just thought just insulting. Not what we needed considering we were saying goodbye to our beloved pet. Thank goodness a member of st clair was there fixing an IT problem. I asked if she could come into the room with us. She was amazing. She had so much compassion and made the process a little easier to deal with. The way a vet/vet nurse should be!! I would dread taking any of my pets to that vets now nurse. I used vets now as I had no choice and did not want my dog to suffer. If avoidable I would NEVER use this service again. I just am so grateful for the st clair nurse who made such a difficult day a little easier and I have subsequently gone in and thanked her. She went above and beyond to help us through a terrible experience.
The service is good, vets nice, however the charges are utterly shocking. £280 just to see an animal and only just after 8pm, then another £220 to induce vomiting. Its shameful
