   One of the best accomodations I have ever stayed in. Location is within 20-30 mins of walking distance to the center. Rooms are perfectly clean and cozy. Very comfortable beds as well. The host is absolutely amazing. He makes you feel very welcomed to his home and gives you just a good feeling. He prepares a nice breakfast, though I believe that some might say there is cheese or eggs missing. However, in my view the breakfast is 5/5 because of the high quality of food that John provides (oat milk, self-made brownies, ...). There is a TV that offers all sorts of streaming services such as Disney+, Netflix, Amazon, you name it. The wifi sometimes sucked a little bit. But thats really just nitpicking. The stay was an outright 5/5. Thanks a lot John and greetings from Germany.

   Amazing experience and John is an excellent host. The room was perfect for the days we were there and the breakfast was really nice (you need to ask for the English muffin with eggs and bacon, absolutely delicious). Also, the BnB is close to the center of the city. Thanks for all John :)

Whether you're here for the history, the culture, or simply to unwind, you'll find that McCrae's is the perfect base.Our room was immaculately clean and incredibly comfortable, with beds that ensured a restful night's sleep after our daily adventures. Each morning, we were treated to a delightful breakfast with a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to all tastes and preferences. The quality of the food was excellent, and it was the perfect way to start our day. McCrae's offers everything you could hope for in a bed and breakfast—a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and outstanding service.    The perfect place to stay for our mini moon in Edinburgh! The rooms were really comfortable, with a huge bed with lovely bedding. The room had everything we needed: towels and toiletries, hot drinks, TV, as well as access to a lounge area. The location was lovely and quiet, while still being close to the centre on foot and by tram (nearest tram stop was 15 mins walk away). It was a great surprise that many aspects of the B&B were eco-friendly, from the toiletries to the sourcing of the food. John was a great host, super friendly and helpful. You can tell he cares about making sure people have a good stay!

   Spacious, clean, modern rooms and bathrooms, excellent beds and linens and a quiet convenient location around the corner from a lively street with good restaurants. There are only three rooms and the owner takes care of everything personally and is affable and helpful. It's a continental breakfast, just as described on the website, and the owner kindly kept food available for us when we slept late. We were delighted with our stay!
