AVOID. Much like an NHS dentist, if you are 20mins late for your MOT they will take your money and refuse to perform the service. Referencing, with all the joy of Santa, no availability now until after Christmas, beyond which my MOT expires leaving my 3 year old daughter unable to see her family over the Christmas period. Hohoho. Nice to see them so busy, I suppose.

I have been using Westerleigh car centre for the last 7 years and to be fair, I have always been treated well and the work done to my car was always well done and satisfactory. However, the past year has been personally very traumatic for me with regards to my personal life. I did make the man in the office aware of this and I was apologetic each time that I had to cancel a booking for the above reasons. A few months ago, I had to wait for months for a part that never arrived through no fault of the garage to be fair. I had an oil leak and eventually the garage sourced their own part. Everything seemed fine with my car. So when I had my yearly service a few weeks ago, I was told the leak was back in a similar position. The man said that he thought that I had an oil leak when I had a previous inspection for another job. Why wasn't I told this so I could have kept a closer eye on this oil leak, to prevent further damage. When I spoke to the man in the office on my phone, I admit that I was a bit ratty on the phone but the way that I was spoken to made me feel intimidated and disrespected and I was very hurt and upset. I decided to find a new garage which following a recent inspection, told me that the plastic part that was used by Westerleigh garage to fix the leak a few months ago should never have been used. This was primarily because a plastic part is not compatible for an oil leak in my particular make of car. I know Westerleigh car centre tried their best to fix the oil leK, this part has made the leak worse. Since dealing with this man and the way he made me feel has caused my mental health to become very fragile and I am back in counselling. I sent constructive feedback for the owners to see but whether this message got to them, I guess I will never know. I will be sticking with my new garage and the mechanic explains everything to me and I feel listened to As usual, from reading all the other reviews from dissatisfied customers, it is always the customer's fault and the garage is never in the wrong. There is no mention of how the way I was spoken to has impacted my mental health moving forward. I suggest that some empathy at times would be very much appreciated.

Westerleigh Car Centre is a friendly, empathetic, and professional family run business. We have never had anything other than great service from them. We have, as a family, had a wide range of vehicles from New to Twenty years old 'looked after' by them and regularly visit throughout the year. They price competitively and are great at simply getting the job done, and done right. A Great Team. Thank You.

Unfortunately I have decided to retract my 5 star review. After using Westerleigh for around 6 years for vans and cars, I thought I had a local garage I could rely on, trust and have a relationship with. I must have spent around £3000 with them. I took my car in because the rear door would not open and it was an MOT fail. The garage charged me £419 for a door actuator and fitting. When they changed it, they took the outer door handle off to fit it. When they did this, they broke a part of it as it did not sit in the door correctly but still opened the door and I assumed their experts had decided it was ok. 3 months and 11 days later, when I opened the door, the handle came off in my hand. When I asked Westerleigh to have a look at this issue for me because in the 14 years I have owned the car, none of the handles have ever fell off... They refused and decided 3 months is the cut off for me to return. I cannot see any information that 3 months is their policy on my invoice. I was not asking them to rebuild the engine or rewire the car. I was simply asking them to look at the door handle which they have damaged. I am so disappointed with this response and I'm sure, as I've seen on other reviews that the garage will argue this point. I feel this garage is becoming a profit making tycoon and has moved away from that local friendly mechanic that helps it's customers out. The reason I won't be taking it back is the amount I've already paid, the amount they will charge me to "look at" the damage they caused and the amount I feel let down. I think the hourly rate is £85 which I would rather give to another mechanic. I don't plan on using Westerleigh Car centre again for any of our vehicles.

Great customer service. Booked in for clutch replacement on our automatic car. Identified other issues with the actuators and extra costs. Genuine cost saving options were presented by WCC. Works continued and no fault of Westerleigh Car Centre, the third party supplier had issues with the repairs. This was exacerbated over the Christmas period. The result was the repair was delayed, all whilst our car was stuck on the ramps. Collected car and discounts passed on from third party supplier due to their issues. It was very easy to deal with WCC and they provided timely updates and a first class repair. Thanks all to your patience and commitment to value based advice. Thank you to the WCC team ❤️

Very friendly and helpful. My car failed an MOT and Blake was patient and helpful, offering suggestions of how to solve it cost-effectively. Exactly what you want in a service. MOT was £50. N.B. book well in advance for an MOT as they appear to be fully booked.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. Dropped off my Skoda Superb estate to have the air con fixed after a recurring problem and to have the car checked for any other faults. I’m due to drive it to Poland with my two young infants and needed reassurance that all was ok with the car. Stuart the technician did a great job working on the car and sorting the air con properly (unlike previous other garage), but Blake as my main contact was excellent. His customer service is top class. He kept me informed at all times on what was happening and what they found. He managed my expectations brilliantly and an added bonus at the end was the price came in lower than I’d thought it would. If I lived locally these guys would be my choice every time! Thanks guys for a great job and for giving me the assurance I needed.
