   When this place was Star Dog Groomers I liked it. It's now Edinburgh Dog Groomers and the groomers are independent contractors. I took my dog to Darya and specifically asked that he just get a mini groom and to leave the length of fur on his head other than trimming around his eyes. Instead of doing that she cut quite a bit of length off his face. Although I was upset about that, I could forgive it. What I can't forgive is the way she dealt with the situation. She did not apologize at all. Then she turned her back on me to go back to the dog she was working on. I had trouble paying her (at the last minute I found out she doesn't accept credit cards) and I needed more information to do a debt transfer. More rudeness. This was really a horrible experience emotionally. I paid £20 in cab fees plus £20 in groomer fees and not only didn't get what I wanted, but was treated rudely. There are others who work in the shop who were pleasant and seemed attentive. They may be great to work with but I'm really disappointed with my experience with Darya. I've added before and after photos to show how much she trimmed his face.

   I would highly recommend star dogs grooming for anyone thinking about joining! My Milo loves it! Brontë is such a fabulous groomer and truly really knows what she is doing. I have to be honest with Milo being my first dog I was very nervous to drop him off for his first visit as I was extremely anxious to see the finished look. But when I went to pick him up I couldn’t believe how good he looked. He was very relaxed pottering about the floor saying hi to all the groomers as they worked. He was very settled and safe in that environment which was extremely reassuring for me. The staff really care for the dogs and they always deliver top quality service. Such a great place. ☺️

   My very hairy dog Norah went in looking a mess and came out looking amazing! She was so soft and smelt wonderful and her coat was totally transformed. I was initially worried because she can be quite a nervous dog but the groomer who worked with her was patient and kind and Norah came out super happy!
