He was quick to come look at car. Told me the issue, easy fix, 2hrs plus parts! I was happy! £90 call out, now he won't answer calls or txt to actually do the job! So £90 for 5 mins, but dont wana dobthe work! If he in hospital and cant work, fair enough! If im wrong and he does come do the job, I'll place a diff review....but for now, I recommend you dont use him!

I wish I could give minus or less than 1 start. I had a timing belt and vacuum pump issue with my Citroën DS3, and after thoroughly researching prices from various garages, I found quotes ranging from £1,400 to £1,600. I decided to try a mobile mechanic. I called Anton and explained all the issues with my car, he seemed confident he knew the issue well and could fix it, and he quoted me £900 to £1,100, depending on the work/parts needed. Given the considerable price difference and fine reviews, it seemed like a no-brainer to choose his services. It turned into a nightmare that eventually resulted in having to scrap the car altogether. Right off the bat; he never arrived on schedule, always claiming someone was dead, ill, admitted to the hospital, or that he had a fracture etc. His excuses were childish and lacked any sincerity. After repeatedly cancelling my plans to accommodate him, wasting a lot of my time, he eventually finished the job 6 weeks after he had started it and charged me £1,400 a fair bit more than he'd suggested initially. He assured me the work was completed, so I paid him in full. It was a mistake on my part to be naive and not hold back payment until after a test drive. During the test drive, the engine light came on for a completely new fault I asked him to retake a look, and after a cursory inspection, he said he wasn't sure what the issue was but wasn't going to take it apart to inspect unless I paid another £450 to replace another part he didn't even know was the source of the fault or not. At this point, all confidence was lost and with seemingly no way forward with him the car got taken to a local garage, where they confirmed that (after another £50 inspection fee) the timing belt was incorrectly installed, they also reported it had several bolts missing in the area and was leaking coolant because of it. Shockingly, they also found it was dangerously low on oil, and had to top it up with several litres. I tried to contact Anton multiple times to report the findings but he ignored my messages and didn't answer my calls. The garage quoted me £1,400 to refit the (with another brand new) timing belt, basically redoing the work Anton had already been paid to do. At this point, I could not afford another huge repair bill and was left with no choice but to sell the car for parts. So here I am carless because of all this. I would never recommend Anton to anyone, nor would I trust him with any of my vehicles again. Avoid him at all costs.

Anton is a true life saver. Great service, great rate. Car unfortunately suffered from a failed clutch master cylinder, I do a lot of miles and rely solely on my car for my work. I had the issue at 7pm last night, and he even got me a text message gone midnight! He was here very next day, with the part, and got straight to it. He had it done in no time at all, I’ve never used a mobile mechanic before but anton is one of a kind. Stress disappeared. Thanks!

Anton is a godsend. My car has had numerous issues, and most recently I had an issue with the starter motor. Anton came the same evening I enquired and sorted it, so I could get my car back on the road. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again if I needed repairs.

Booked a few weeks in advance for an MOT and service with Anton due to good reviews on here and desperately needing MOT. I can *only* do weekends due to work and he was one of the few people locally who could MOT on weekends. Anton said he would need to collect my car before 7am, which I thought was a bit early but really needed it done so booked in. Anton expressed his concern for me booking in advance in case I didn’t show, but it turns out he was the one who didn’t show up! I text the week prior to confirm still going ahead and he said yes. I woke up just after 6 and waited until 7:45 with no contact from Anton. Text him to enquire if all was ok and still no response. 5 hours later he texts to say sorry, he was ill the night before and had only just woken up. I have had to last-minute book somewhere else which has been stressful given I rely heavily on my car for work and MOT is due to expire. A text the night before to say it would have to be cancelled would have still been inconvenient, but better than me waking up at 6 on my day off and having to rebook my MOT anyway! Real shame as I expected better from the reviews, although someone did mention two no-shows. I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but please be more informative in future if you are not going to show up to appointments. Cheers

Having broken down in a parking lot and the car would not start, I did a quick google search and called Cars in action. Anton reassured me after I told him the issue(flashing spanner light on dash) that he would be with me within 30 minutes, kept updated all of the way and Anton arrived early. A quick plug in of his very clever computer and we were back on the road. The man is professional, polite and very honest. I have been messed around before and charged for work that was not required , so this was a breath of fresh air. So impressed, he came over to replace my front brakes the next week. No matter how small or big the job is I could not recommend cars in action(CIA) enough. You sir are a credit to the business!!

We were in a very difficult situation being stuck in one of the Bristol services as we couldn't drive further with broken brake pads. It was a weekend and most of the local garages were either closed or too busy. Luckily we managed to find and contact Cars In Action - mobile mechanic service, exactly what we desperately needed. It took only about 20 minutes for Antonie to arrive to the place where our car was parked, he was on time as he had promised. He quickly assessed the issue and offered different options for us. We decided to replace the brake pads. Really quick and quality repair - and we could drive further immediately. The price was reasonable and not as expensive as big brand recoveries would charge for the same service. Antonie was polite and professional. Highly recommended!
