Just received an absolutely appalling customer service. First of all, when I was waiting for the “mechanic” to tell me what is the problem, explained which car is it, he looked at me and said “What??” … apparently he is not willing to carry out any work, because someone has been there before. I took the car there to diagnose air suspension issue, but turns he is not willing to carry out any inspections because of a new droplink fitted by someone else. Yes the CV boot is leaking oil which I discovered recently, completely unrelated to the job asked for and I didn’t even mentioned. His attitude and the treatment was disgraceful. I had a negative experience with this place back in 2019, but I thought I give them another chance which was a mistake. The reviews and the replies explains a lot here, just notice how many people mention attitude and the way they speak with people. I probably should’ve looked better before I book, unfortunately no one else in Chepstow are dealing with air suspensions.
Really happy with my experiences here both on my Taxis and personal cars. Welcoming staff who are happy to help as much as they can. You get what you pay for and that's great service and quality. Have never had any crazy unexpected defects so I trust them well.
After getting my car into the garage on very short notice for MOT, I recieved an excellent speedy service, everything needed was very well explained to me and I was even given use of a courtesy car whilst repairs were carried out at a reasonable price. I was very unlucky a few weeks later with an unexpected breakdown on the M4, after being towed to the garage unexpectedly I again was treated with respect and kindness. I was given all the information I needed to make an honest decision about my car which sadly needed more work than it was worth. I will definitely use this garage in the future, Dee was an absolute gem and I really appreciated her honesty throughout, she literally couldn't of done more for me.

Absolutely just go somewhere else. Dropped my car off to have the washer bottle investigated as it was leaking, another dealership was paying for it. Before I even filled out the form I let then know the dealer ship told me it might be like 1 hours labour. The owner from the back stormed through told me not to tell them how long a job would take (I wasn't I was simply saying as they will be speaking to the dealership) he told me if I know better take it some place else.... so I did, 200m down the road to the next garage who were lovely and accommodating. I called back after to get the guys name to mention him here but the receptionist wouldn't give it to me, I told them they will get a negative review she said and I quote "whatever we are used to it".
Overpriced/ Greedy. Quoted over a £1000 for repairs, we requested a breakdown of costs and their attitude changed as if we had become an inconvenience. I now understand why, 2 other mechanics quoted less than half that. All fixed now thankfully and saved ourselves over £600. Answer to your query, my married name is Clarke. *GREEDY AND NOT RECOMMENDED *After doing work that cost me well over my budget a few months ago I took my car back for MOT. I told them to be nice as I thought everything would have been sorted in the last works they did (£750) The MOT failed on brakes and windscreen pump blocked on one side. They came back with £850 to fix and they included a thermostat that was nothing to do with MOT. Car was fine on the thermostat issue. Anyway I found another garage to do the work for £300 but when I went to get my car I had to pay £189 for the MOT clearing blocked windscreen pump and looking at break to get quote. Would not give me my car until I paid. I then asked that if I bring back fixed the reMOT would be free but NOPE they wanted another £25. Got vehicle back and took to other garage (Ed’s Auto highly recommend) he noticed steering was strange. He did the work and another MOT and a small service for £400. I refused to hand over any more money to Auto Care and so did another MOT away from them. I had done a few journeys after all fixed and steering wasn’t self centralising and all over the place. Had to have AA rescue me from Cwmbrân as I felt too scared to drive car. Next day it improved but still felt like steering was all over the road and not safe. Took to Malvern Tyres only to find that my tracking was very seriously out and I mean you could even see it with you own eyes. My wheels looked crossed over on the front. So ended up having to pay yet more money to have fixed. The steering was perfectly fine before went into Auto Care and I have no idea how it could have been so out after they had my car. It frightened me and the safety of my grandson. So my recommendation for Auto Care is AVOID and especially if they mention they have to do own diagnostics as they will find stuff you didn’t know you needed and don’t need. GREEDY AND DISHONEST
My husband has used this garage for a new tyre replacement, screen jets issue and a refurbishment of 4 diamond cut alloy wheels. The customer service alone has been really great. The reception team are so helpful. Overall the standard of work was excellent. Everything was competitively priced and completed on time. The fact we were able to borrow a courtesy car was of great help. All in all our repairs were completed by an excellent garage who obviously take great pride in the amount of customer service they provide. First class.
