I purchased a Land Rover Discovery Sport in September. Unfortunately, it developed a fault after a couple of days. I initially went through the warranty, taking the vehicle to a local to me specialist. The fault persisted so Mendip Autoserve suggested I bring the car back to them, which I did. Despite their best efforts, the fault returned after they'd delivered the car back to me and it was then found, through LR, that the fault could not be rectified. Mendip Autoserve arranged to have the the vehicle collected and I was issued a full refund, no quibbling, no problems. Any garage will be good at selling a vehicle, the exceptional ones step up when there is an issue. I would 100% buy another vehicle from them, knowing that their after sales customer support is excellent.

Even though we didn't buy a car on this occasion, the customer service provided by Josh and Kaylin was excellent from the initial enquiry and throughout. They were very accommodating allowing us to test drive three vehicles with absolutely no pressure to purchase. We would certainly consider buying from them if a suitable car comes into stock. It would have been 5 stars if they also offered a hot drink.

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing my Mercedes-Benz from Mendip Autoserve Ltd, and I must say the experience was outstanding. After having my car for just over 3 months, a light came on advising me to return the car to a workshop. I called Mendip and raised my concerns. They provided expert advice and arranged for my car to be seen the very next day. What impressed me the most was the transparency and honesty exhibited throughout the process. The team at Mendip kept me informed every step of the way. Not only did they complete the repairs promptly, but they also went above and beyond by performing a thorough inspection and offering preventive maintenance recommendations to ensure my vehicle's longevity. I highly recommend Mendip to anyone in need of a reliable and trustworthy car. Their exceptional service, expertise, and dedication to customer satisfaction have earned my trust and loyalty.

If you want 5* after care do not purchase your car from here! Do not waste your money on paying for warranty, its pretty much useless and you get the "wear and tear" answer post purchase. I bought my vehicle at the end of May. The initial process was fantastic. So much so that we agreed I would provide a video recommendation in return for a credit of £100. The car purchased was a Japanese import. Beware of headliner decline, likely due to changes in humidify / temp, if you buy a similar import. The car itself was sold in very good condition and low mileage (40k) for the year ( 2012) on observation, and with limited knowledge. Sold with complete or almost complete( I cant remember right now) service history, but as it's in Japanese Im not sure if this is accurate. I am now dubious. It was also supposedly serviced at time of sale. 5 weeks after purchase ( no payment for the agreed video recommendation), it was my pride and joy, however strange grinding began. I e mailed. No response. I e mailed again, no response. Possibly 3 times I contacted and was ignored. I drove to the garage, where it was deemed fine. Finally I was able to take it to Audi to get a proper brand health check. Having bought the car for circa £9.5k, I was shocked to hear that Audi were suggesting £3k in servicing / repairs were needed. Headliner, well chest la vie for that, but the brakes were almost 80% gone. The vehicle had been driven for under 5k miles since purchase, so they were obviously quite bad at sale time, but im no mechanic, the tiles were actually perishing( you dont look at that you look at tread). Brackets needed replacing by the exhaust. So I then e mailed again forwarding the Audi technician video. Guess what no response, twice. So what could have been a fantastic experience has led me to write a 1* review. In the world of sales / marketing, customer service and aftercare are equally important. Would I ever buy a car from Mendip Autoserve ever again. No!

I have been using Mendip Autoserve for a while and also bought my second hand Mini from them. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I trust them completely in terms of servicing and generally looking after my car. Everyone there is always polite, friendly and professional and I never feel like a stupid woman who knows nothing about cars! My husband has also used them for accident damage repair and this part of the business is also excellent.

Sold a complete wreck/faulty car after driving 200 miles and being told over the phone it was fine! Then was lied to about warranty. I called up Mendip prior to driving up to make sure the car was all good and was given promising expectations on the vehicle. Drove 200 miles and arrived and the car was smoking badly, on the journey back it developed a fault code to which point I called them up and was told that THE CAR DID NOT COME WITH A WARRANTY and they were not obliged to do anything. After threatening them with information from citizens advice they were forced into giving me £200 to fix the problems which should have been looked at before the car was sold to me and on their forecourt for 6 weeks! Even after spending this to fix the vehicle it has now blown a gasket and they are no longer responding to my emails. UPDATE TO RESPONSE BELOW: This vehicle was on their forecourt for 6 weeks and started breaking down after 30 miles, the windscreen wash hose was not connected (3 points) tyre was barely legal and smoke was bellowing out the back. By law UK dealers are required to offer a 3 month warranty on vehicles regardless of price and Mendip tried to wiggle their way out of this by tricking me into signing a document and rejecting to fix the vehicle at first. Once I contacted citizens advice they confirmed that the dealer legally has to fix/repair the vehicle, Mendip 'Offered a GOOD WILL GESTURE' as they knew they had legally been forced to do this. The problem is still present and mendip asked me to DRIVE a BROKEN vehicle 200 miles back to their garage!!!! Buyers can learn from this that Mendip only care about high spending customers so it worries me to the extent how much you have to spend to get a car that hasnt been ignored and is not fit for the road.
