We picked Chateau-X for our date on a friday evening and it was certainly one that we enjoyed. It is a bit on the pricey end but one of the more reasonable steakhouses in Glasgow. We had focaccia and chorizo prawns for starters and two glasses of spanish red wine to go with. The chorizo prawn sauce was especially worth noting. We ordered two ribeye steaks for main. They were cooked just to our liking and were absolutely delicious. We had baby potatoes and chips as the sides. It was a bit dissappointing that even steak sauces come with an extra price but everything was delicious. Recommend a visit if you want some good quality steak!

100% recommended!! I had dinner with my sister just before Katy Perry concert. We had the steak&frites and the food was lovely. Cocktails were delicious and the staff were super friendly. Sam was nice and attentive. She offered fantastic recommendations. We are definitely coming back.

I stumbled across this place by chance while walking through West Glasgow and was blown away. The atmosphere of both the upstairs and downstairs seating areas felt cosy and intimate and the quality of the food and service was all-round phenomenal. This place is a must-go for any steak-lover in Glasgow!

Genuinely one of the best steaks Iβve ever had. Perfectly cooked, smoky and juicy. Every bite just melts in your mouth. The food arrived almost immediately after we ordered and the service was flawless. Definitely coming back. Bravo!

My friend and I visited here on a thursday evening during a trip to Glasgow. Cool little restaurant with mispainted walls and fun decour. You can see inside the kitchen and the food being cooked. Staff were friendly and attentive, providing a high level of service. Wr had a bottle of the Rioja which was lovely and would reconmend it. We both had the ribeye which we asked for medium-rare but came out more medium to medium-well, which was a shame. I had two mouthfuls that were amazing and a few ok ones, with the outside of the steak not to my liking at all. My friend hardly ate his due to this and did tell the staff, who apologised. The chips were very good, with nice sprinkling of sea salt. My garlic butter sauce was nice and my mates peppercorn sauce was full and rich. The bottle of wine was 50 quid with the whole bill coming in at Β£136. Were given a free lemon celio each at the end. Speaking to a couple next to use who had been before and said it is usually good, i put it down to a thursday chef. When we came in there were three young lads wearing shorts and t shirts and for me i think a nice steak place should have a bit of a dress code personally. I would return to give them another go if i am in Glasgow again

Fantastic tantalising culinary experience for the taste buds! The fresh sourdough bread arrived warm and with what appeared to be homemade butter tasted amazing ! I had raspberry mocktail made with fresh raspberries was perfect, the most delicous moreish refreshing drink I ever tried. The server (female, red hair) presented very bubbly and went over and above to provide a 5 star service to our table. The chateaubriand was cooked to perfection and the meat was of good quality, the sauces and sides were the piece de resistance of the entire meal ! We ordered the hispi cabbage which was my personal favourite made me want to recreate the recipe everything from the taste, seasonings and the mustard accompanying sauce was spectacular. The confit potatoes were perfect, a fusion between traditional roast and smokey patatas braves with a slightly sweet carrot marinade speckled throughout. The fries were also tasty crispy and fresh! My only regret is not trying the tobacco smoked onions as we noted that others had ordered and looked elite. On the flip side I didnt like the curtain at the entrance I felt it could work better if drawn back as when entering it felt like we used the wrong door and was slapped in the face with a thick fabric curtain. The restaurant was cold. The stairs were very narrow and poorly lit and in my stiletto heels I nearly fell several times sober may i also add :) The seating arrangement in my opinion was more of a cafe/bistro rather than the 5 star exemplar the food and drink suggests, would benefit from bigger tables, possibly booths to offer more privacy and romantic ambience for couples and perhaps giving certain parties the option to sit upstairs. The music was great too added to the atmosphere and the decoration throughout was boutique, artsy and classic, the overall style was modern and unique. All in all though it was an amazing restaurant and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reasonable priced, modern, mouth-watering dishes/drinks.

We went on a Sunday for the Sunday roast to celebrate us getting married. The staff were AMAZING. So genuinely nice and helpful, I couldn't fault them one bit. All the sides were super good, cocktails are delicious and well priced. Our steak was overly fatty and we physically couldn't eat half of it. What we could eat was INCREDIBLE though. We made them aware of this and they took what we couldn't eat back to the kitchen to cook it more to try to render out the fat a little more. It helped a bit, and we got to enjoy more of the steak. Well done, but with how high the meat quality is even well done it was delicious and juicy. They ended up removing the steak from the bill, which was so lovely of them. Offered us free dessert too, but by that point we were stuffed so we declined. So there were some issues with our meal, but they bent over backwards to help us and to fix it. I would dine there again in a heartbeat! Because we were celebrating our wedding they even brought us some free prosecco and bread and butter (which was also amazing btw? I know it's just bread and butter but omg)

10/10, I've been wanting to try Chateau-X for a while and so glad I finally went. We went for the chateaubriand roast and it did not disappoint. It was perfect for two people sharing and was just the right amount of everything. The wee free cone at the end was a perfect dessert. Definitely book in advance as it was busy. The atmosphere and staff were brilliant and I'll definitely be back to try the tomahawk roast.

It was F Monday I visited. Steak was cooked to how I ordered and nice to eat. Sides- fries nice (some flavoured fries would be a good introduction), like garlic and parmesan. Carrots really good! Broccoli is the best cooked tender stem I've had but was my least favourite.. personal taste. The starter/ snacks were nice enough too but the bone marrow butter didn't taste as good as I had built up in my head - it was good with the bread but just not as flavoursome as I thought it'd be. The tobacco onions are a must to go with the rest. Definitely returning. Cutting out the snacks and adding different sides to try. Staff as good as I could want too. Pleasant, chatted and were there when we required. Tasty cone! What's awkward about a cone... (Other reviews need to relax)

Cute little bistro, lovely interior and friendly staff. Intimate settings and ticks all the boxes for a feast for the eyes. Paired back but good wine menu - as we only stopped in for a drink, definitely want to come back. 4 glasses came to Β£30
