   I was a bit sceptical as had read some negative reviews. Im so glad I ignored them. I read that they don't answer phone and were unhelpful and staff were unsociable. It was the complete opposite. Called shop, answered in 2 rings and very friendly, informative and helpful. Went into the shop and was served immediately by lovely staff who couldn't do enough. What a brilliant shopping experience.

   Just purchased 4 T bones and 4 fillet steaks on the steak night deal with free sauce. Got home to find one of the fillets only weighed 112 grams and had a thick strip of fat at the side ( had clearly been taken from the tail of the fillet). I was really annoyed as I had to travel all the way back to the shop with the steak as no one answered the phone ( voicemail only). I was given a replacement steak of the same measly weight ( the others were between 135 and 150 grams). I guess it’s my own fault for not specifying I didn’t want the tail and not asking for them all to be the same size and not checking what weight to expect for each steak. To be honest I would expect a butcher of S. Collins standing to make the weight transparent on the board advertising the steaks . Yes it’s a great butcher with lots of variety but this has negatively impacted my impression of this establishment. Happy I was given a replacement steak but no compensation for the inconvenience.

   I received my parcel today. I can't fault any of it. Although bread is a bit expensive, but as you can't buy it in Yorkshire, guess you do have to pay that bit extra, if you want it. Can't wait for breakfast tomorrow morning to enjoy the square sausages, black, fruit pudding and of course the dumplings, with a heel toast.

   Had my first order a few days ago and i must say i was so impressed. Ordering process super easy food arrived very well packaged and OMG everything i have tried so far is so bloody good. working my way through the rest then i will be ordering again.

   3 days before Christmas and the website states they open at 6am, it’s currently nearly 8am and the shop still isn’t open with a queue now down the street. Customers are standing outside in the rain and although there’s a large number of staff members in the shop, there’s been absolutely no communication around why they’ve not opened yet and are currently 2 hours late. Generally speaking the food is great but the speed of service is awful and puts you off going to this butcher.

   I was in today for the first time, although busy the queue went down quickly and I was served by the lovely June, June took time to talk to me when ordering and talking about Christmas etc, she also took the time (although busy) to set me up with a loyalty card. Lovely woman and great food
