Bought 2 budgies in March and the poor little birds have been in the worst condition and health I’ve ever seen in a budgie. They’re very small also. Been unable to tame them which has never happened. They don’t really like healthy foods and behaviours aren’t normal for healthy budgies. Appear to fight death everyday. Was told one was male and other female, in fact 2 males, the lutino is a male, if they knew their birds they’d have known that. They had scaly face mites show at around 3 months from when I brought them home which is the first I’ve ever seen in a budgie as well so I thought they were dying with cancer growth or something! Treated with Scatt. Every now n then I get hope they’ll be healthy but they are no comparison to my healthy budgies from a home breeder or budgies I’ve had in the past for between 5-10 years a life. My cages are super clean, all real wood perches are properly sterilised prior to use, fed the best of natural organic pellets, some clean seeds and offerings of fruit and veg each day. The feathers they’ve lost is unreal, lack of energy and chirping makes me so sad. I think Lutino is dying slowly and I can’t even give affection because they’re afraid of human touch which is something I’ve never ever had happen. Every day she is vibrating, then okay a while, at night falling off her perch and shaking to get back up. Can’t fly as her flight feathers gone too. Something is most certainly wrong with certain lots of birds this place gets in, because none of this has ever happened and is not due to environment as the other budgies absolutely perfect. We don’t use scented anything at home, only stainless steel on cooker and steel or wooden spoons etc, no sprays, no oils, we don’t poison our air at all yet this is happening.

I recently bought 2 female rats at roughly 6 weeks old from this store. They were kept in nice clean enclosures, after bringing them home it was obvious that they had been well cared for and handled a bit, they had also been desensitized to loud noises as in they didn't bother with hoover noises. I would definitely recommend and will definitely go back again

Great store with lovely staff. I was down with my daughter on Saturday and the staff were great- very knowledgeable and friendly. Usually go to pets at home, but feel this store had more of a personal touch. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend to others.

We were going to stop in but, by the indoor cam you can see they have 3 guinea pigs shoved into an enclosure that would only be big enough as a carrier pen for one. This isn't a humane place. Also rawhide is not a good and safe toy/snack for dogs. How is a bleached product that can unfold and block a dogs throat a good, healthy option?

I have visited this pet shop a few times and the staff are nice enough. What really upsets me is the conditions the animals are being kept in it’s completely cruel. I noticed last time I was in 2 rabbits were in a cage that they couldn't even walk about it with nothing but a bowl and water bottle. Not to mention 5 Guinea pigs crammed in an even smaller cage with no shelter or toys to keep them occupied. I understand it is only temporary until the find there forever homes but this is not the way these precious pets should be starting out their life’s.

not a bad shop, all round, but the staff have no idea what they’re talking about. woman at the desk told me the tiny tortoise was a herman aged 3 which is objectively untrue as I know my tortoises. on top of that, my partner saw what looked like a mouse scurry across the floor in the back section where the smaller animals are kept (not to mention their tiny cages that look horribly cramped). staff are nice enough, but should not be working in a pet shop if they don’t know their animals.
