I took a fluval fx4 filter in that was playing up on me. The filter was loosing flow to the output after only 3-4 days after being cleaned out. I took videos of this over the 3 day period to prove to the shop what was going on. I was met with hostility from 2 of the shops employees dana and jacob. I explained what was going on and dana the manager took my filter into the storeroom to have a look at it. She chewed the screws to the motor housing no doubt using the wrong type of head for it. She also had my filter rolling around on a concrete floor which is when i reckon she broke one of the screw clips tht secure the filter. I think that the staff in here should be sent on some kind of training on how to emphasise with customers. I was really angry with how this situation was dealt with i had very expensive fish now sitting in a tank with no working filter. I would highly recomend you avoid buying products such as fluval filters ect.. that come with a warranty as this shop does not honour this. I had changed my filter pads ect and dana and jacob were trying to say the white pad that was in it had been in for months, the pad had only been in for 3 days and was still white so that was an absolute lie. 3 times i had opened it up cleaned down the sponges ect. The filter was clean, the day i took it in i took it off and drained it so of course there would have been a little detritus in th filter as i never rinsed it before taking it to the shop. Trying to say my motor and empellar were the worst theyve seen, bear in mind i had just done all this during the 3 prior times opening it up to see what was going on. So that was another lie, dana and jacob were trying everything they could to put the blame down to myself.

Came in to get some accessories for my freshwater tank, asked about backdrops etc. Explained we had recently set up a freshwater tank and had 2 smaller Orandas. Explained we wanted to add a third and were looking for advice and were told to just wait a week while our items got flung in a bag and told to go on eBay for a backdrop. Not interested at all. So disappointed because we have had such amazing help and service from the Coatbridge branch. Came to braehead to see what verity they had. Wont be back.

Fortunate enough to call this Fish shop one of our locals, whether you’re looking for Coldwater, Tropical or Marine they have it all! Brian is exceptionally friendly & very knowledgeable, he has been a massive help to us over the years with our Reef tank! 100% can’t recommend this place enough ☺️.

Came to the store on Sunday hoping to start my first salted water tank. Had a good discussion with the man about fish choices for a nano tank, and he was helpful. The store seems to have a good choice of tropical and outdoor fish, however less stock marine fish, invertebrates, and corals, but i was assured this was due to waiting on a delivery in the next couple of weeks. Also somewhat better selection on pond and tropical dry goods and machines than marine, but alright price for what was available. Will hopefully return soon to decide on tank.

Was just in the store today to look for a tank for my son for his Christmas. Was helped out by Craig and Jacob. They helped me so much as I know nothing about fish will be back to get his tank in a few weeks and all the fish looked in such good condition.

Unsure what has happened to this store. This store used to be my go to shop in the local area for all my fish needs. However as of late it would appear that the keepers of the store have forgotten that they are employed to care for the fish and the customers that enter the store. This will be my last visit to the breahead shop. On this occasion the store was empty except from me and a friend, to which you would expect the two shop assistants to notice us in there shop. Normal customer service would include a hello sir or a would you like some help or assistance. Well not today... Todays customer service consisted of two employs have a good old chin wag about their weekend activitys. Mean while in there are tanks with some very sad lookin fish (maybe 20 dead). Maybe these employees could do with some time in the Livingstone or Coatbridge store where customer service and fish care are at a much higher level.

Great selection of cold water ,tropical and marine fish. Good solid knowledge on types of fish and products. Store tanks are always in good condition. All in all its probably the best around.

It's ok, call me a snowflake but I didnt like the the giant wheelie bin type tanks out the back. The fish looked sad. Good job they have short memories. Please rush over and buy to rescue. The other fish looked amazing and they feed th koi to the amusement of on lookers. They were in a giant tank.
