   It's five star from me because this is the type of local store that every high street needs and should have. I probably could have paid a little less if I bought what I needed online, but then you are adding to the considerable pressure that small shops like this feel every day. Communities need care and attention. This is is a great local shop.

   As unhelpful as a person can possibly be. I called to see if they stocked an item. The guy was just rude, didn't let me finish my question, interrupted me, told me I couldn't get what I wanted individually, even though I was happy to buy a set, but he wouldn't let me speak. And the thing is, you can buy them individually online or at some independant stores, I just needed a specific size, but the guy just wouldn't hear me out!... they may not have had what I needed but the way he dealt with it was unnecessary, ignorant and rude.

   What an Aladdin's cave of hardware treasures, but don't tell the owner, as he has heard it enough. a proper old time hardware store, people had warned me the owner was very grumpy , but this was not at all the case, seemed very friendly and helpful , great price on key cutting. I will be back for more bits and pieces . P.s. no four candle jokes.

   Really good old fashioned ironmonger. You can buy individual screws rather than packets of them. The staff have a lot of really helpful advice and have a large range of products for sale. Well worth a visit.
