   Went to Toolstation Whiteladies Road this evening. Someone who arrived after me was served first. When I challenged the staff member about it, she snapped back: “Deliveries come first. Before you have a go at me, you should ask.” I don’t believe that’s true, and the attitude was unnecessary. Please can management look into this, and maybe train your staff on basic people skills. The staff member was a young blonde female called Ellie.

   I ordered £200 of goods which they insisted must be home delivery. They delivered to wrong address, they even admit to this, but refused to resolve the problem. The complaints process failed as they started lying and saying they delivered to the correct address, even though they admitted this before, and they don't have any details of the delivery date, time, photo etc. they've been fine for decades, now I'm left having to waste time writing reviews like this.

   I recently had a fantastic experience at Tool Station while shopping for door handles. Not only did they have all three handles I was looking for in stock, but they went above and beyond by ordering in a heavy-duty hinge and latch for me with no delivery charge. The staff, especially a young man named Debon (I think that's his name, though I can't quite remember), were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Compared to other hardware stores like B&Q or Wickes, Tool Station excels in customer service, making them my go-to choice for all my hardware needs. Highly recommend Tool Station for their exceptional service and wide product selection!

   They always seem to have what I want in stock! Extremely helpful staff. Parking out front too. I tend to order and pay online then pop in to pick up a few mins later after I've received 'ready to pick up' text. Very slick. Highly recommended.

   I'm generally a big fan of Toolstation. I've always found staff to be friendly and helpful. But I'm afraid the Whiteladies Road branch is an exception. Customer service is not good. Some staff are unhelpful and unfriendly - no eye contact and questions go unanswered. Then there is a the queuing. I appreciate that this branch is very busy, but waiting 15-20 minutes at some times of the day is completely unacceptable. There just not enough staff on duty. It is also extremely frustrating that even at peak hours, staff feel it is OK to discuss product options at length with some lucky customers to the detriment of others. Clearly this store needs a product enquiry counter. There are now not even clear instructions on where to queue. Click and collect counter never has anyone on it. So it is a matter of luck if you get served there. Sometimes I've been told for click and collect that I should join the main queue and at other times I'm told the opposite. At least during the Covid restrictions, there were clear instructions about where and how to queue. So why have they all been removed? All this points to management problems or maybe just complacency that because the store is so busy, they don't need to bother about customer service.
