The store itself is good with a good selection of products. But what ruined it for us was the cafe..to start no receipt from the machine. We ordered 1 coffee 1 tea and 2 toasted tea cakes, the drinks arrived after 10 minutes and the tea cakes after 30 minutes. The cafe was half empty so not that busy. Why it took 30 minutes to toast 2 tea cakes I don't know..the butter was solid straight out the freezer. I also saw several people complaining about slow service. Also one customer cleaned her own table. I won't be using the cafe again.

I go in almost everyday to get my lunch and usually have no issues with the shop. Most of the staff are lovely and the shop is decently stocked. Today I had to wait 3 minutes in self checkout while one member of staff was busy, but two others were standing around not being helpful. One came over to the 4 of us waiting around for ages verification checks to put them through. They had seen me multiple times with the red notice above the self checkout however took a bit too long to respond. They then asked for my ID for an energy drink. A man with a full beard in his late 20s. I don't carry around my ID during my lunch break, why would I for a product which you need to be 16 to buy as per tescos policy. This was more than a bit stupid today and a waste of time.

Poor experience. I visited Tesco on the 12th September with my younger brother to buy 2 bottles of wine, 2 bottles of Prosecco and 3 bags of pork scratchings. A young girl ID’d me whilst at the self services which is fine, and I understand the whole Think 25 policy. I got my ID out and she also requested my younger brother’s ID. Firstly, what ID would a 15 year old carry around? And if I were to buy it for him, why would I bring him into the store? I explained I am 25 (nobody cared to actually check my ID), and explained that he wouldn’t have ID as again, what 15 year old does. I was told I could not buy the alcohol. I questioned this, and asked, if my parent were to come into store, would they serve them if my brother was there. The young girl said yes, because they’d be over 18. Again, I am 25. Nobody checked my ID to confirm this. Emily, the young blonde, was incredibly rude and laughing. I had purchased a grey hoody 30 seconds prior and whilst waiting for the tag to be removed, Emily and another girl ignored me and continued their conversation so manners clearly weren’t there from the get go. Emily also stated the think 25 policy and the proxy sale policy, and I explained I knew the definitions, however I’m 25. I left the store and realised I needed to purchase toothpaste anyways, so I entered the store and this time, was told by the security guard and Emily again, that I needed ID. Why did they attempt to ID me at the entrance? There is no policy or guidelines that suggest customers now require to show ID to enter the store. I was then followed by security, and someone who claimed to be the store manager but there was nothing to confirm this and was told to leave and I wouldn’t be served. Emily was again, laughing and being incredibly rude. The manner in which I was spoken to in front of other customers was disgusting also. They claimed I insulted Emily, and had body cam footage to prove it, however I was previously a ASM for Tesco, and can easily recognise when a body cam has been activated. In this case, it hadn’t. Instead, lies were being told to prevent me from buying toothpaste and pork scratchings because Emily clearly had an agenda. I asked for proof of these lies, and was told, ‘no, keep walking.’ Young people should be allowed to hold supervisory positions, but it’s worth noting that only if they’re capable of handling the tiny bit of power they hold. These girls represent Tesco, and clearly lack respect. I was embarrassed in front of a large majority of the store. My dad then entered and suddenly, the ‘managers’ attitude had vanished. He allowed my dad to come in and purchase his alcohol, and explained, I am 25. Whilst purchasing these goods though, the guard, manager and other members of staff stood by the self serves and watched us the entire time. And why? If my brother wouldn’t be ID’d with a parent because they’re ’25 and over’ why would he then be watched with my dad? The logic is flawed. If it was a proxy sale, any adult, regardless of age, would be purchasing the product for him. And if it was okay for my dad to buy, why were we watched? I was removed from the store based on lies, buying alcohol whilst meeting your policy guidelines and was watched. I think clear retraining needs to be done. For policies and manners. I’d be surprised if Emily hasn’t had a ‘Let’s Talk’ based on her conduct.

Main aim of our visit into Bradley Stoke was the Tesco. My father-in-law told us it was “too big”. I have to agree with him here. Extremely daunting and overwhelming in size, this shop is definitely big. We wanted to get a bacon and egg sandwich, although it said there were some in stock, the shelf was empty. I have taken a picture of this. We did however get lots of monster energy drinks. Lady who served us at the self scan was lovely! Click + collect staff seemed very busy, what a scary job in such a big store!

Nigel on the late shift is a true gent; always a warm welcome, friendly conversation and a fond farewell. A genuine credit to the store and always enjoy going to his checkout after a long day in the kitchen at work...and walking away with a smile.

Started shopping at Tesco on a regular basis following a house move, as they were my local store. Used their Handsets to scan my own shopping. On at least 60-70% of my trips I have been selected for a re-scan (full and partial). I fully understand why they do the re-scan but unless my luck is incredibly bad I don’t understand why I am being selected so often, this is now making me resent using Tesco. There has never been an issue following the re-scan of my items with all items scanned correctly. They state their customer selection is random but this doesn’t appear to be the case. I didn’t want to be made to feel this way so stopped shopping with them. Recently I thought I would give them another go – Guess what… stopped again for a full bag re-scan. Again, no issues as I had scanned everything. I want to shop and feel like a valued customer and not the untrustworthy customer Tesco are treating me like.

Everything about shopping here was fine until you got to the meat chillet.not a great selection and very small joints, especially slow cook beef at very high prices. Some of the prices seemed higher than at the garage store in Winterbourne.

Very large store with plenty of products on sale. Large clothing department on top floor. Lift and trolley escalator access to upper level. Large home wares and toy department. Plenty of self service and manned tills. Small kiosk for tobacco products and lotto. Store is clean, tidy and well stocked. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Various collections of goods at a single place. I wish they sell coconut too
