Genuinely the worst run tesco I've ever been to - do yourself a favour and walk the extra 10 mins to Sainsburys or Lidl
The beer fridge broke and they can’t be arsed to fix it, warm beer sucks.
Fridges don’t keep things cold enough and are always left open. Is a massive health and safety issue. I got a chicken sandwich meal deal. Ended up with the most horrible food poising. Be careful shopping here.
you need to stop obstructing the bicycle racks outside the front of your store with your loading cages. they are on public property and funded by the council for people to lock there bikes on NOT for private businesses to abuse and disrupt. if you do not stop doing this i will report it to the council.
Nice range of stock if it was in stock. Clean and tidy though. Just be prepared to have security following you around while you get your donuts breathing down your neck for no reason.
I popped in a couple of weeks ago on a tuesday night to grab something to eat after work, I acknowledged the security guard with a smile and went on my way, As soon as i started looking in the aisles for what I wanted I was aware that the guard was following me making me very uncomfortable, It even got to the point that i walked the other way so I didn`t have to have him in my line of sight he literally ran so he could be ahead of me, I then confronted him asking him why he was following me he didn`t have an answer for this I then asked him again and he still had no answer, I then walked out, Tried to email customer services to register a complaint and all I got was an automated response saying that it was not in use, Shame as I used to pop in to get the odd thing that I couldn`t get from local shops just made me so angry, Had to a give a star but it doesn`t deserve it.
The security guard us extremely intimidating! If you’re in store with a bag of any sort he will follow you! The staff are rude. Just barge into customers thinking they have right of way. No manners! An appalling store
This store is just terrible. I have lived in the area for many years and unfortunately had in certain situations over this period how no option but to "rely" on this terribly stocked, poorly managed chaotic mess in which they call a Tesco express. Firstly, the lunch time sandwich selection is terrible. No variety for the size of store in such a peak location. Vegetarian/vegan options are minimal in an area which is heavy supportive of this life style. Even before the pandemic the sandwich selection was cut be half. Don't bother going there on a Monday lunch time as sandwiches are non existent. I can only put this down to poor logistics and management. This was a pre-pandemic issue and is not down to current supply chain issues. Secondly, the stock selection of general house hold goods is very questionable. You will find some very abstract goods which you may never have even heard of or may use once in a blue moon but they do not stock simple things like ginger root. I find this mind boggling, whoever selects the stock for this store should seriously re-assess their life priorities. Thirdly, they have recently bought in a alcohol section in the store (which nobody asked for) as soon as the condition to not sell alcohol ended, this brought in purely to make profit and further reduce shop floor space for daily goods that most people rely on. Finally, I would like to raise the cold and almost rude welcoming you receive from some staff. Most seem like they would rather be making coffins then working in this store, and can you blame them? The store is an embarrassment. It is the physical interpretation of the Jamie T song "Tescoland". Don't get me wrong there is a few staff members that are lovely but most need to be set free to enjoy life again. I would have given this store 0 stars but this was not an option on Google. I would not rely on this store for anything. Even to look for supplies on a post-apocalyptic word. Shame on you Tesco.
Good little store that serves the local community with a wide range of value for money groceries. Saves going into town to get something decent at an affordable price. The staff are on the whole very good. One young man is so professional and polite he really should be rewarded. Maybe promotion to management.
I've just come back from getting a bag of M&Ms from here and it was terrible. There was a dog in a skull and crossbones bandana tied up outside who was violently spraying liquid poo in to the doorway whilst the security guard just looked away. what was especially horrible was the automatic door was opening and closing, activated by this unholy torrent, spreading the foul everywhere for all to see. Eventually, as it was drawn back in to the mechanism the door began to get stuck meaning that instead of a regular smooth motion, it would pull back then get stuck and sharply close, turning it in to something of a horizontal guillotine. What made matters worse is that the circuitry was obviously damaged and the sensor began leaving the door open and only closing when someone walked through. Of course, this did not end well. I spent over half an hour watching people attempt to enter the shop, first disgusted by the liquefied dog mess but then as they attempted to enter getting sharply blindsided by a pneumatic human crushing machine. Whilst no one was seriously harmed, I witnessed many people lose teeth, get battered and bruised and one person at least had their privates severely crushed (ok they may have been seriously harm in retrospect). Tesco - when will you take responsibility for these diabolical human torture machines you allow to operate in the entrances to your buildings? I have seen similar things in other branches but usually not covered in dog excrement. Disgusting!
