   This Tesco is abysmal. They are consistently short staffed, poorly stocked and the layout for goods is disorganised and cahotic. This has been a problem for a while, but now, we also have to deal with them closing unexpectedly during opening hours. I only come to this Tesco now to use the Post Office but even that can be a challenge to access. Last Friday, 8 November they closed the store unexpectedly until 16:30 as they were short staffed. The Post Office was not accessible either. When they re-opened, they kept the Post Office closed so they could use that one member of staff on the shop floor. This Tesco is so poorly run and it’s been a problem for years. I really want to support the Whiteladies Rd Post Office but I have started switching my loyalties to Cotham Hill as I can’t keep up with Tesco’s erratic hours. As for my food shop, I stick to the Sainsbury’s local across the road or the big one on Clifton Down.

   What a grotty tesco. Horrible narrow isles, security screens go down so low, awkward to hand goods over to cashier, and even more awkward to make an electronic payment. Neither the post office inside or tesco stock envelopes, packing tape or address labels etc, which i couldnt quite believe, for a functioning post office?

   Poor customer service. Confusion over a meal offer. Signage poor by staffs own admission. Rude women (supervisor) behind till. I was the second person there having the same issue, we were told ‘if you read the sign properly’ in a dismissive tone. I worked as a customer service supervisor in a store for 5yrs as a student, I know what good/reasonable customer service is. Once the confusion was rectified, the same supervisor yelled across the store essentially telling off another member of staff about a separate issue. Simply poor.

   not safe in there anymore. Young staff.. very little care taken (shelf packing etc) to protect customers. One staff member told me they don't need to wear masks as they need to be able to communicate with the deaf. Why can't they remove the mask when a deaf person needs to speak with them?!

   To be honest, I don't use this place very often. I have used the click and collect service a few times for online purchases, and MAYBE bought stuff here occasionally. I DO like that there is a post office located at the back of the store, which I'm sure leads to some strange looking queues if people have some shopping to do as well.

   Shop is always dirty and untidy. Not enough variety of food and wine products. Staff can be rude and they stand around chatting with each other instead of working. Prices are sometimes not on the shelves. A place for students to shop or to pick up the odd loaf of bread or milk if you are a professional.
