The shop is fine but tbe cafe today was over 1hr from order to food served. The food was good on arrival but 1hr is too long to wait.
Visited last week and it looked like awful. Couldn’t buy anything I needed to. Almost every fridge was broken. No milk, no salad etc. Half the store was being shifted around so I appreciate why the top floor was vastly empty, but the lack of produce and broken fridges downstairs wasn’t what I expected.
The store is always well kept and tidy, and the staff are always friendly and happy to help when asked queries. Overall, being the largest supermarket in the area, there is always a healthy variety of stock to choose from, including sweet treats, cereals and other goods. I am happy with the service I have always received in the store, and the movement of electronic items downstairs has made the overall experience of shopping far easier. The one criticism I would make is that the upstairs area closes too early, it would be better to have it open and available for browsing up to 11pm instead.
I'm not a fan of Tesco. It just happens to be close and have a pharmacy. I still don't understand how when you shop and try to use electronic coupons, it asks you to put the coupon in the slot. I DON'T HAVE ONE! Usually I have to fiddle around with an old receipt trying to make it recognise something. And some of the staff in self-checkout are just plain rude... Rant over
I always enjoy shopping here even when it's busy. Always find something especially upstairs in the home department. A little disappointed with the kids clothing section as I needed to get some uniform and there's nothing available.
Shocking experience when trying to return a faulty, in guarantee television, that resulted in passing my phone over to a staff member so head office could explain to the store manager that I was in fact, eligible for a refund, after being told on 5 separate occasions I wasn’t. Had to visit the store 5 times, and ring head office 3 times before they finally spoke to one another and agreed on their policy. Genuinely never found anyone wanting to help a customer less. Do not buy electronics from here, and if you do, keep the box in case it breaks. You need this for a refund. Apparently
