6 ‘emergency’ visits in space of 14 days. And on 3 separate occasions I’m found these are only tools that are working. Lovely guys but boiler has flooded 3 times in a fortnight and I find a left over item each time they leave. Wouldn’t recommend. They are really bad.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I had a monthly service contract for boiler cover with this company for 6 years (£15.99 per month). Other than the annual inspection they never carried out any work on my boiler. Recently the boiler (although still working) developed an intermitent noise. Following 4 engineer visits as well as several no show service calls they phoned to say that the unit was no longer economical to maintain. This is despite the fact they could not find the cause for the noise. Laughably they offered a FREE boiler survey so that they could quote for a replacement. Needless to say I declined their kind offer. They offer poor service as well as poor ethics. I am still waiting for their manager to contact me in order to explain their reasons. They are happy to collect their monthly £15.99 as long as they dont have to spend any money on parts WHICH ARE INCLUDED ACCORDING TO THEIR TERMS & CONDITIONS. AVOID THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT HONEST OR COMPETENT! Footnote.... the boiler is still running but their contract is not!

I cannot praise this company highly enough. Phoned this morning and the engineers arrived by lunchtime and it wasn’t even an emergency. They couldn’t have been nicer and found the fault quickly. Their prices are so competitive and no call out charges. A professional and friendly company with excellent prices and staff who go above and beyond, what more could you ask for.

Originally called them and the woman on the phone was great changed through options and was very helpful got booked in. Engineer came out and said it would need to be repaired. Paid the best £300 bill then guy came out next day and struggled to fix part ( valve) he then said they don’t repair central heating if you have Hive installed( never once mentioned this prior) then had to get his supervisor out to help. Was 6 hours of work and now 2 weeks later the heating isn’t working at all. Really disappointed

What a Legal way to scam customers, paid for 5 years £16.99 PM to be told your boiler is uneconomical so pay us £2500 for new boiler (£1000 more than normal) and thats with massive discount of £250 from them. Something has to be done about these scammers as ok to take my money but turn to pay than its too much wow. Customer service zero, went with them thinking Scottish company will be better but found out hard way that they are only to look after their pocket after Robbing customers. Take my advice and stay away from them.

Moved from BG to Saltire over a year ago after getting messed around with their couldn’t care less attitude and having to wait 5 days to get a minor issue (frozen condensing pipe) resolved that left us without heating and hot water during a really cold spell. Ended up googling and resolving the issue myself but that was enough to end my relationship with BG. Decided to move our business to a local company. Recently, one of our bathroom Radiators started leaking and I called Saltire. In fairness, they attended within 4 hrs - impressive compared to BG. However, I then had a conversation with the engineer about “designer radiators” and that it would be classed as a chargeable repair. Matter was referred to a manager. I then received a call from John Higgins (manager) and he sprung into action. Sent one of his best engineers and the problem was identified / repaired without any further fuss. Very impressed with John and his “customer comes first” attitude. Well done.

1st visit no show 2nd visit forgot my fault 3rd visit phoned the night before to cancel but came anyway to service the boiler unfortunately wasn’t in as it been cancelled but anyway they thought well since it’s winter and minus 3 at night let’s cap his gas so no heating or hot water so his family can suffer and his kids can freeze all night. Phone up can get an engineer for over 36 hours and cap had be done due to the boiler needing a service what the boiler is now going to kill everybody because you never done your service great news cheers

Brilliant dealership. Lots of very cool bikes at Alba Customs and in the main floor of Saltire. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable, the cafe is great, the service and repair work I’ve had done is always to an extremely high standard and they take real pride in the work. I did my riding training here and the instructors are superb. Very patient and friendly with a confidence inspiring teaching style. It’s the kind of place I feel comfortable dropping in on if I’m passing and it’s the kind of dealer that invests in motorcyclists. Which is always a smart move.
