   This company delivers the wine to a different city and then tells you it is your fault and you did not open the door or you did no proved your age. In my case, I wrote very clearly to deliver a wine package to Bath, postcode was from Bath, street was in Bath, address was in Bath. They decided that the best was to try to deliver this to Bristol. Then I started to get harassing messages like "you were not at the place" or "we could not verify your age". The only good thing from this company is the guy from customer service. He is good handling this situations, but with such horrible logistics problems, I don't recommend this company, sorry.

   Ordered online - the wine arrived within 2 days and in great condition. Great selection and good prices with their offer for 12+ bottles. I didn’t know they existed in Bath but will now go to see their selection in person if I only need to buy a bottle or two.

   My husband and I were looking forward to our weekend in Bath to celebrate our marriage. We had booked an air bnb doors away from The Great Wine Company. On arrival, we were told to collect the parking permit from the flat and then find a space that was within the Zone. As there were no parking spaces directly outside, we parked outside the wine shop as there were several spaces and ran in to collect the pass, all of which took us maximum 5 minutes. When returning to our car, we noticed a man on a pallet truck that had parked next to our car. He started to become very aggressive and was having a go at my husband. My husband tried to explain that we had just ran in to get a permit and was unfamiliar with the location. The man threatened us saying "I don't want to see you around here again" and nearly reversed his pallet truck into our car as he was trying to block us in. Being a shop only 2 seconds from our air bnb we had planned to buy some wine for our weekend away but took our business else where. Never met some a rude and arrogant person in my life.

   BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE. Great Wine charged me £17.75 a bottle for some Abanico Reserva 2016, Casa da Passarella. Subsequently, when reading up about the wines I had bought from them I discovered that the same wine was available in numerous other outlets for around half the price - in one for only €8.49 (£7.07 approx). When I drew their attention to the discrepancy in the pricing they said that was my look out! So, if using this supplier, my advice would be remember to check out on the web the price of each and every bottle before proceeding with a purchase.

   Went in yesterday to spend just under £100 on wine. Clearly this wasn’t enough money as I’ve never felt like such a pleb. The person serving me, who I’d explained what gifts I was needing to buy, had started choosing some bottles for me, he then just ditched me to go and join the THREE other members of staff who were already schmoozing another (big budgeted) customer to within an inch of their lives. Another member of staff was then helping me, and we had to start over. My time clearly of no consequence. He even commented that I ‘looked stressed and confused’. Um no, that would be flabbergasted. At the blatant dismissal of me and my custom. But don’t worry. You’ll be relieved to hear I won’t come back. Next time I’ll go to Bargain Booze where clearly you felt I’d be better suited.

   Reasonably priced alcohol and a nice accurate delivery to the West Midlands. We had some communication with customer service after one of our bottles was incorrect however, we had a prompt response and the situation was made right immediately with the correct bottle arriving a day or two after. Hence why I would not mark them down, their positive and helpful;attitudes even during the lock down meant we did not have any inconvenience our end. Thanks guys!
