It's in a lovely spot. And for me, as I use crutches and a mobility scooter, it was great because they have trampers. Trampers are off-road mobility scooters which I hired for £3, there are other options. I zoomed around quite happily. I went into the house but couldn't go upstairs, they had a book with photos and info of the upstairs which I could peruse though.

This is one of the most picturesque National Trust locations I’ve ever visited. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and there’s plenty of parking available. However, the road leading to the estate is quite narrow, so take care when driving. The only downside was the communication from staff. I was told there would be a basement tour at 1:30 pm and that everyone was welcome to join. I had lunch and arrived on time, only to be told that a ticket was required. There were no signs or information about needing a ticket, nor did the staff member who mentioned the tour say anything about it. Luckily, I live locally and can visit again, but I would have been really disappointed if I had travelled a long way and missed out.

This place exceeded our expectations. There was far more to see inside than we first thought. The grounds are amazing with some lovely walks down to the folly and amazing views all around. Lovely little snack shack serving hot and cold drinks and food. Well worth a visit.

We stopped here on our way to the Cotswolds and found it an interesting experience. The house and estate is quite isolated and there was a long narrow road leading to the location with little room to pass meeting cars. The house is typical National Trust with friendly guides. The café was small with seating outdoors or in a marquee. Being situated on a hill, there were impressive views over the surrounding countryside, and the estate had options for longer walks than we were able to join.

Newark Park is a real hidden gem! We had such a wonderful time exploring both the house and its stunning grounds. The historic house itself is fascinating, and the volunteers inside were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing all sorts of interesting stories about its rich past. It felt like stepping back in time while still being warmly welcomed. The outdoor spaces are just as impressive – beautiful gardens, open lawns, wooded walks, and plenty of spots to simply sit and enjoy the scenery. We were delighted to see peacocks gracefully wandering around, adding an extra touch of charm to the day. For families or anyone looking for some active fun, the summer activities were fantastic. We loved seeing games like outdoor chess, croquet, badminton, skipping, and more set up on the lawns. It really gave the visit a playful, relaxed atmosphere. The mix of history, nature, and hands-on fun makes Newark Park perfect for all ages. Whether you want a peaceful walk, a bit of history, or a family day outdoors, it has it all. We left feeling happy, relaxed, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

Wonderful day out! We had a thoroughly enjoyable time of exploring the estate on one of the waymarked routes, before enjoying the quirky house and its history. And in between we had tea and a lovely cheese scone accompanied by peacocks around our feet hoping for crumbs. Very friendly staff who were very happy to explain anything and everything - especially about the house and its contents. Easy parking, with decent and clean toilet facilities. The kids' playground looked good, too! Definitely recommend this place for a day out.

Really interesting, we had the talk on how the property had been added to over time and it made sense of it, well worth doing. We also walked around the estate walks some of which is quite steep. The views from House and grounds are amazing. There was a sculpture trail while we were there which was really nice too

Arrived early and National Trust staff advised on the Bridle path route that runs down alongside the Estate walks and it is a moderate walk of between 1-2 hours. The scenery and sounds of the wildlife through the forest were excellent. The refreshments run out of a takeaway shed and picnic tables on the lawn are great in good weather. Staff were excellent and knowledgeable on the sites history.

Was really impressed with this properly. There's loads to see including a fantastic house which feels homely and a nice place to be. The grounds offered great views and are good to walk around. They are quite steep so make sure you are prepared to walk back up the hill.
