   I needed some repairs done to my sofa and enquired of several local companies - of those who replied, I had three quotes, two of whom were similiar in price, but Alan's was far and away the most competitive and as his 30 Google reviews were all five star, I decided to try him and I am not sorry I did. I sent him an email with some photos of the damage and arranged an inspection/collection of the sofa quickly ; he had it for less than 10 days and did an excellent job ; I was delighted with the results. If you are in need of any upholstery work, you need look no further than Bird and Son - I recommend them most highly.

   This is a proper old-school company. Great customer service, quick turnaround, fantastic quality work and Alan is a lovely gentleman who ticks every box. Nothing is too much trouble and he takes the time to make sure you are getting the right service.    We had a couple of very old rocking armchairs, a cane rocking chair and a footstool. Alan did an amazing job in bringing them back to life. His customer service is what any customer hopes for. His upholstery work is of a high standard, excellent attention to detail. We look forward to enjoying our newly refurbished, comfortable chairs for many, many more years now.Highly recommend.

   We wanted a family hand me down nursing chair recovered. Sent Gary a photo and got a quote straight away which made things nice and easy. Popped into the shop to look at materials and came away with several choices to suit our requirements. The chair was returned in a week and looks stunning in grey chenille. I would recommend this company for your upholstering needs for their quality,professional, responsive service at a good price.

   Alan did a fantastic job of reupholstering my dining chairs and making some cushions for me out of the same fabric I bought. He took time to understand what part of the pattern I wanted on the chairs and cushions and he made them match in the way I wanted and they look amazing. I was really particular with the dining chairs, as they were my grandparents, so really wanted to do them justice. I'm so happy with how them came out - thank you Alan! Would really recommend for all your upholstery needs.

   We required 8 dining room chairs to be upholstered. We went to see Alan at his shop in Sidcup and he was a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. He allowed us to take swatches of material home so that we could match the chairs. He re-upholstered the chairs for us in less than a week and the job he did was outstanding. Both my wife and I are extremely satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend him.
