Extremely poor service – avoid Furniture Village We ordered sofas in September, spending over £2,500, and were promised delivery in time for Christmas, with a confirmed date of 6th December. Based on this, we sold our existing sofas weeks in advance. Just two days before delivery, we were told the order was delayed, with no prior warning. Since then, we have been given contradictory information, missed callbacks, and zero proactive updates. We were told different stories about where the sofas were, whether they had arrived at the warehouse, and when delivery might happen. Every update only came after we chased repeatedly. We attempted to raise a complaint but waited over five days for a manager callback, only to be told managers were busy due to a sales roadshow. We were offered £50 compensation, which is unacceptable given the cost, length of delay, and stress caused. Even worse, we were told our complaint wouldn’t be discussed further until delivery “in case anything else went wrong” — which clearly says a lot. As of 17th December, we still have no delivery date, no updates, and the tracking now shows an estimate of 19th–26th December, despite a Christmas delivery guarantee. This means the sofas could be up to 20 days late. This was meant to be our first Christmas in our first home, but instead we’ve been left without sofas, unable to host guests, and extremely stressed. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer care is shocking. Once they have your money, they do not care. Massive regret choosing Furniture Village. Do not recommend.

No dining table for family visit. Delayed until? I have to start by saying the sales guy was a really good egg, a pleasure to deal with. Spent over £4k on our table on 2 Nov 25, we explained we have visitors arriving on 5 Dec so if we were going to order, we would need assurances it would be delivered by then. He told us it would be with us 7 Dec and that was the best he could do. The order tracker says 30 Nov - 7 Dec, I took 7&8 Dec off work to enable delivery and furnish the table. It’s now 10 Dec and the table is not here, our guests sit night after night eating dinner off their laps and they’ll leave on Sunday. If they’d have told us they couldn’t meet the delivery time we would have purchased from somewhere that could. Really disappointed. Don’t plan around the delivery dates they give you.

We ordered a new kitchen table & chairs from Furniture Village in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. When they were delivered in mid July 2025, the delivery driver informed us that he’d noticed that one of the chairs had some damage on it. He then rang through to someone at Furniture Village to inform them of this damage & told us that they would be sending a new chair to replace the damaged one. Four months & several enquiries later & we are still waiting for the damaged chair to be replaced. This is very disappointing & we are not at all happy that, after spending a fair bit of money, Furniture Village have, four months on, still failed to exchange the damaged chair. Other than the damaged chair we are happy with our new furniture, just not overly impressed with the after sales customer service.

I purchased a new dining table with chairs and a sideboard today, and I was lucky enough to be helped by James. From start to finish, he was incredibly patient, even though I was very indecisive and took up so much of his time. James went above and beyond, showing me accessories that would complement my furniture beautifully, and he made me feel completely comfortable asking what I thought were “silly” questions. His friendly approach, product knowledge, and genuine willingness to help made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. Thank you, James, for your outstanding service!

We purchased 2 sofas today and the salesman James was absolutely amazing, top quality. very relaxed conversations, very informative and with absolute no pressure. The price, the purchase options and cover available were very clearly explained. Tony was a great source of info with the finance side. We spoke to a few sales professionals today and the whole team were top quality

Very disappointed with the quality of the material on our new sofas. Material was loose and wrinkled, local store unable to deal with our complaint and had to go through central complaints and ombudsman who insist this is normal. Make sure you see your chosen material on finished sofa before buying.

Started off with a great experience but after they had my money , it went down hill rapidly. As most do ordered the sofa and awaiting for the call to let us know when we were due to get our new £3k+ sofa, we had a phone call that our sofa would be delivered the next day, so we needed to make room and get rid of the old sofa, i took it outside and cut it up to take to the tip, then i have a phone call back saying sorry we made a mistake its not tomorrow its August... we were in june...... so i explained that now we no sofas.. they said sorry but nothing they could do.... i had to take it further and after a number of phone calls and visit to the store to speak to the manager and regional manager i got them to agree to supply some temp sofas, however i said they need to be modular to fit in the house as one of the door way was tight.. they sent a sofa which was to big and while trying to force it in they destroyed a door frame, and had to take the sofa away...so now another sofa was being sent, so need to take another days holiday to be home for this delivery...we now needed to get furniture village to sort the damage of the door frame out, so one person out to look at the damage and then anther person to fix it, even that took a few attempts because they didn't show up on the agreed day.. Eventually the sofa did arrive, and all was well for a while, until the charging unit in for phone have stopped working, so a repair gent came out and said we need to order it but will be 10 days, that was may 2022 - The unit just arrived, i call them up to find out when they will be here to repair the unit, turns out it is my responsibility to call them to arrange for them to call me back (in 48 hours) to arrange or the engineers appointment. since then we have had screws fail out underneath the sofa and while on this call the the aftercare team i said they need to come and sort this issue.. the aftercare team said they cant help i need to email another department to deal with that.... its a complete joke of customer service SO far its 5 days off work to be home to sort these issues out...and still have issues to resolve. Avoid!!

I bought a new table and chairs in Furniture Village Bristol in 24 January, ETA was about 9 weeks, but in the end took 5months to deliver the table and chairs, everytime i call them to ask about the table they keep tell me they will ring me "tomorow" (they never did) until finally the deliver company call me asking me for a deliver date. The staff in the store was ok, the day i bought the table everyone was happy and smile but when i return to ask where my table was, was a bit diferent. I give 3 stars because the table and chairs are in good condition (you never know). I dont think i will return there to be honest, poor customer service.
