I would like to thank the two men who collected a display unit from our home. They called me to say what time they would be arriving and they were both kind, friendly and respectful of my home and removed removed the unit with care. It was my pleasure to be able to donate to the Sofa Project and I would highly recommend them.

Priced out of using this service by their ridiculous delivery pricing structure. Delivery price increase from 2024/2025 for my postcode from £35 to £45? There is absolutely no justification. Last year (when they took the delivery price up to £35) they explained this was mostly due to people who use delivery slots for single small items such as a chair. I can understand the mentality, but honestly it's so much fairer just to implement a Minimum purchase policy for delivery i.e by weight or volume of units instead of penalising all of your customers indifferent towards basket value. You already have that exact policy on your Furniture collection. You've already grouped your delivery days and runs by postcode, so you're not trying to account for fuel lost by trekking across multiple postcodes on a single run. (If you are then you need better scheduling, not to charge the customer more). What makes it worse is I only purchase items in groups. Businesses that deliver lose money when they're making multiple drops of low value baskets, you lose your money in stoppage time (wages) and fuel. Last year I separately bought two half-van loads of furniture which they only had to deliver one (I arranged my own transport for one batch due to my own timing requirements, at the time I thought it was expensive doing it this way..) Today I had set my day aside as I need tables and shelving units, lots of them. I was ready to buy with cash in pocket, walked around and spotted lots that I was about to claim but walked out as soon as they told me I'd be spending an additional £45 on delivery. The benefit of Sofa Project is that they have a great range, friendly staff and the furniture is affordable, providing an excellent alternative to people like me who can't afford furniture shop prices. So the logic behind scaling your delivery pricing in line with those stores you provide an alternative to is just ridiculous. If you genuinely need to charge this much for your books (Which are public on Companies House, believe me this increase is unjustified) then you must be haemorrhaging money elsewhere in the organisation. But this pricing is going to do you only mischief, one of your biggest demographics (people who like me can't afford new furniture but want quality) won't be able to afford your delivery costs and if they can't transport furniture themselves (How many of us really can?) then your customer retention is going down the drain quickly. Increasing certain prices might seem like it'll bring more money in, but at a certain point it just closes the door to a lot of your customer base. You used to be great, so I genuinely hope that doesn't happen, but honestly from here on out I really wouldn't be surprised if a significant portion of your business didn't dry up and force you to close. Keep an eye on those books guys, while there's still time to fix it. Maybe find a volunteer with experience in turnover and cost-stacking so you're not weighting your costs poorly and losing money unnecessarily. Edit: I think I made it clear in my review that you no longer have my support, so not sure where "thank you for your continued support" comes from. I'm genuinely concerned for your "small charity" with the decisions you're making. Your charitable arms that donate to the needy rely on your retail arm being a success. The relationship between the two is symbiotic but you're just trashing the retail side with ill-informed pricing structures. Like I said, find someone who knows how to properly balance turnover to prevent weighted costs from ruining your customer retention. It's real easy to lose customers by making a mistake like this, it's far more difficult to get them back afterwards though.

I had a sofa bed delivered and it meant to be just a drop off. The furniture was too wide but the drivers did their best to get it through the door and take it upstairs. They kindly took it back to the shop even though they were busy and I was given a refund. Though I really liked this furniture and shame that it couldn't get through the door.

I really wish I had read the reviews before purchasing from this company. This isn’t a service, it’s a money-making trap. I missed my delivery by just 10 minutes because I was in the shower, and now I’m being charged an additional £25 for a second delivery, despite already paying £25 for what feels like a very poor service. The driver was completely unhelpful when I called him 10 minutes later—he refused to return and drop off the furniture. To make matters worse, I now have to reschedule delivery for a week later, which is incredibly frustrating. I had taken time off work to be home for the delivery, and this has been a huge inconvenience. I can’t afford to take another day off, let alone pay £25 for a delivery that was never completed. Also, if you want a refund, forget it—only a store voucher is offered. I recently moved to Bristol from Spain and am already struggling financially, so this whole experience feels like a scam. I’m beyond disappointed and feel completely taken advantage of.

Really happy I was able to donate our sofa bed, and know that it will hopefully go to help someone who is in the same position we were and doesn't have much money for home furnishings (had to save up a few years for a new sofa!). The whole process was very straight forward and easy, collection men came on the day planned and called beforehand to let me know when they were coming, and the speed in which they took the sofa bed out of the property was amazing!! I'm so pleased - great organisation.

They could not care less? The most unpleasant people I have ever dealt with. Rude and arrogant. They are only interested in themselves and completely let down an 85 year old lady with dementia because they just don't care.

Great charity shop, sofas from £70, units from £20 plus paint , ideal for a bit of DIY, great staff and the deliver.

Great to have a helping charity and they do good things. But I found some delivery staff impolite, unfriendly. Also receptionist/staff on phone sometimes. not that nice. I am grateful for their help.

It makes me sad to have to write a negative review for them. We brought a sofa & dining table from them for an amazin price (Sofa with armchair £165) and the instore experience was amazing. They charged £30 for delivery to Yate and managed to choose the date I wanted. This is where it all goes wrong, delivery driver calls me before arrival and arrived all fine BUT when they were putting stuff into the house the lack of care given. Sofa was almost thrown against the wall leaving marks. Guy with the dining table bashed it against the wall serval times since they left a chair in the way. Honestly the lack of care for the walls was outragous and not even an apology was given, I have attached some photos and these were all freshly painted walls! Sadly the delivery has left a sour taste in my mouth!
