   I’ve never written a negative review before but I was really disappointed with the beefeater. I visited here this evening as they have a gluten free menu. I ordered the turkey roast from their new festive menu. Dinner took 1 hour to arrive so expected a gourmet feast . What actually arrived was a tasteless bland meal with burnt potato and soggy veg. Clearly the menu was cooked by The Grinch rather than someone in the festive spirit. Thank God for the 2 for £12 cocktails to drown my sorrows! Now I’ve looked at other reviews I’ve noticed other people have had the same issue…but the lady who served us was lovely and the only reason I’ve given this place stars.

   I visited for breakfast this Sunday, and even though the restaurant was really busy — around 50 people at one time — the service was absolutely amazing! The manager on duty pradeep palepu was working all by himself and still managed everything so smoothly. I’ve honestly never seen someone handle such a crowd with so much professionalism and calmness. A big shoutout also to Chef& G.M. Pat, who did an outstanding job in the kitchen. The food was delicious, hot, and perfectly cooked — you could tell how much effort went into every plate despite how busy it was. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and had a really nice atmosphere. This was definitely my best experience so far, and I’m really looking forward to visiting again soon. Amazing job to both the manager and the chef — you truly made my Sunday special!

   We had the breakfast here as guests of the Premier Inn next door. A lot of food items were unavailable and we were told it had been like that all week. The food we did have was fine. The grounds of this Beefeater need some serious attention. We came for a drink the night before and the garden was dirty, full of cigarette butts and rubbish. They obviously don’t clean it up as it was there for a couple of days. The Doom Ale on tap was stale. The playground, which we saw on their website and hoped to use for our child, was fenced off and completely overgrown. It was a very disappointing visit.

   Such a unique place for a restaurant, we loved looking around at all of the features. It could do with a bit of tlc but still cool to look at. We could not believe how good the food was! We both had chicken skewers and then a sundae and cheesecake for dessert, it was all spot on. The red pepper and harissa dip was delicious! The only down side really was that they seemed a little bit understaffed so we did have long waits but the staff were lovely and really helpful, even catering to my mum's onion allergy without question.

   I feel like this place needs more staff amd it would be really lovely. The wait times are a bit longer than they need to be. That being said we were lucky to be served by an amazing waiter, who went above and beyond for us. Bonus points to his for replacing my refill drink without me asking as he noticed I was getting low. Forgot to get his name but 5 stars to him!

   The food is general beefeater stock. Not brilliant but you know what you are getting. You come here though for the environment. Lovey big outdoor space ( although I remember it being larger) Food was relatively cheap, and of the expected standard. It filled a hole. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

   We visited while staying at premier inn next door. Food was very good and came reasonably quickly. Service was a little slow especially drinks however they did seen to be a little short of staff on our visit. Overall, very good and would come again.

   This restaurant was an unexpected surprise! We decided to eat out last minute and our usual favourite was fully booked, so a quick search and we found this place. The restaurant has a working water mill inside, which gives it an extra quirkiness about it. We were seated upstairs and were given amazing service from start to end. The server was friendly and attentive, full of smiles - she really did make our experience that much better. The food was great - we had a burger and steak, which can come with a good selection of sides. The dessert, an apple crumble with custard was delicious and a nice size. We will definitely be going back and bringing some friends along with us next time!

   Not the ideal first meal out post Covid. Parents hadn’t been out for over a year as they are both vulnerable. They finally felt it was safe enough to have a meal outdoors this summer, and then this. Bread that looks like it was kneaded before the first lockdown, and they had the audacity to email me and tell me my symptoms could have been a virus. Right next to a motorway. Staff are slow and absent. Avoid.
