   The quality of the food is quite average for the price, and it takes a rather long time for the tables to be served. Otherwise, the restaurant is very spacious and suitable for celebrations with large groups.

   I visited the Guildford Parkway Beefeater restaurant on Wednesday 19th November. I was not particularly hungry so a meal from the children's menu sufficed. This was steak chips, peas and mini corn on the cob. The food was delicious and very promptly served. K-C was my waitress and was extremely professional and polite. That said, this applied to all the staff and the atmosphere was very relaxing. In particular I consider that the meal was excellent value for money at £6-99. As an example, I recently paid £9+ for a McDonald's meal. Food was good, and service prompt,  BUT, as with all such restaurants, I had to eat with my fingers from a paper bag. At the Beefeater, I have a proper plate and cutlery, and service was just as quick as at McDonald's. Also, yesterday, before dining at the Beefeater, I visited my local Costa. Staff are very pleasant, however I paid £12+ for coffee, cheese cake and a toasted sandwich. In other words, almost twice the cost of a "real" Beefeater meal! Plus, again I had to eat with my fingers! So, overall, many thanks and I look forward to my next meal at Guildford Parkway.  Allan Woolston.

   We ate here 2 days with a very big group. The food was generally okay, large portions but some items were really oily. Service was generally fine, the second day it took a very long time before all of our desserts came, some members of our group ordered additional drinks and some of them didn’t even show up, even after asking. The tables were really sticky, still after a good wipe

1. Clare Langrish-Dixon (CLD) ★★★★☆

   We had a 2-4-1 voucher so decided to come see what it was like and we were pleasantly surprised. Joeli our waitress was lovely - very attentive, friendly and efficient. She made it a lovely night for us. Whilst the food was not mind blowing, it was simple, hearty fare which did the job. It was also incredibly good value too. So would I recommend- yes! Whilst the food is not going to win accolades, the price reflects what you’re getting and we had a good night. Thank you again to Joeli and the other lovely staff for your kindness and hard work. Top tip- I’d recommend signing up to their mailing list as I have been sent several money saving deals from them since I joined.

   Great food this eve and served by the restaurant manager paul who went above and beyond with service. Food was also on point so thankyou to the kitchen staff as well. Also didn't get her name but the manager on breakfast was also great. This beefeater clearly an asset to Guildford and whitbread should invest in a refurb as the staff are clearly worth it.

   Hubby and I decided to get an evening meal here whilst staying next door at the Premier Inn. We had been on the road all day on gallery deliveries and decided to eat here rather than travelling too far. The restaurant was not too busy but still had people in and the staff all seemed to be bustling around looking after everybody. We were shown to a booth by Jasmine who took care to seat us in an area where it wasn't too noisy. It seemed everyone had space around their tables which was nice to see. We ordered drinks and mains and we both chose a Cobb salad, one with chicken and one with salmon. We also ordered a side of halloumi fries and some onion rings. The salads were plenty full enough with a good quantity of the cooked element, which was fresh and hot. We did notice that there was no avocado (which was listed on the menu) so we mentioned it and promptly received a side serving of delicious fresh avocado for each of us to add into the salad. The empty plates were cleared promptly and after a few minutes consideration we ordered desserts. We decided on apple pie with custard and cookie dough with ice cream. We commented that John especially likes a lot of custard with his apple pie so Jasmine made sure that he received two small jugs of custard instead of just one. When it came to pay the bill we noticed that the desert had not been added into the total and so we pointed this out and paid the correct amount. Jasmine thanked us for being honest but it really is the only way to be. The bill was just over £50. The restaurant was clean and all the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was very well prepared and we were very pleased. Thank you to Jasmine for being friendly and helpful whilst at the same time being attentive (and we did notice that you were like this with everybody despite obviously having had a long day). We stay at this Premier Inn quite often so will be happy to return here for a meal another time. Thank you :)

   We turned up without having booked, a party of 10 at lunchtime and despite being very busy, the super helpful staff found room for us and we're brilliant throughout our visit. The food was as good as we expected in a 'chain' pub but the staff really lifted the meal above the ordinary. Thank you.

   We turned up as a group of 12 without booking. They sorted out a couple of tables next to each other for us and told us how we could best order our food and still pay separately (the usual nightmare for restaurants catering for large groups)! Food wasn't bad either. Helpful and friendly.
