My wife had an almost identical experience to Stuart Crewe. Advised to get an X-ray by her GP but they refused because it wasn't a new injury. She also got berated for having previously gone private... and then immediately told that the earliest she could be seen was months away. Why do you think she went private in the first place?! An X-ray is free and only takes a few minutes but it seems like these guys would rather people break themselves more and need expensive surgery later. Classic NHS.

Took a friend for a procedure. We were all met at the door and taken to the 1st floor. A very good welcome and a first class facility. Chatted to 3 ladies who had come with relatives. Im local so the 4 of us went off to steaming mugs cafe together. My friend was very happy with her procedue and all staff were 1st class. A wonderful hospital and well done. Thanks to the ladies i met

I attended here due to a very painful ankle, after being sent for an x-ray by Cheltenham A&E, who had technical problems with their own imaging equipment. Tewkesbury refused to offer me an x-ray, as my injury was over 3 weeks old and my GP hadn’t referred me. They told me to go back to Cheltenham for an x-ray! I did get an x-ray at Cheltenham, days later, when their technical problems had been resolved and it transpired that I had a broken ankle, which is now in plaster. Appalling!

Told by 111 to go to Tewkesbury minor injuries as I needed to be seen within an hour for treatment. Had to wait 1.5hrs following triage with nobody going in or out of treatment rooms. To be told they were prioritising people with appointments. I was then told to go to A&E as it wouldn’t be dealt with soon. Reception staff uncaring and to be honest rude. Disappointed that they have lost their caring approach. Had to leave untreated to go to A&E dept for help.

This Community Hospital deserves all the credit they can get. My mother just spent two weeks in their care and it was the best support mum has received since she fell about a year ago and declining health issues. Exceptional friendly caring staff always go above and beyond and the hospital and mum's room kept immaculate. Further home visits put in place after mum left also outstanding. This has also been a massive peace of mind for me as I live 200 miles away with regular visits. Thank you to each and every one of you help mum back on the road to recovery. Mr L Gladwin

I have contacted the Tewkesbury Hospital where several penguins were passed from a handler wearing latex gloves and a plastic apron, to vulnerable patients; how is that a natural environment for the penguins? I have raised my concerns with Julie Ellery who is Matron at the hospital - but her response was quite unsatisfactory. In that she maintained that the animals were not stressed. How would she know? Secondly aren't birds in some kind of lock down. I'd have thought that taking penguins into a hospital is just asking for trouble, with the potential for viral mutations etc. WHO PAID FOR IT TOO...I THOUGHT THE NHS WAS ON ITS KNEES!

Went for day surgery on 9/12/22 and the team were great, couldn’t have asked for better treatment. Many thanks to Gemma, Gwen, Dawn and Tracey for making it a great experience.

Really can't fault this place. Easy parking, conveniently located next to the town center to get things for my relation when needed but more importantly the quality of care and support from staff is exemplary! Thank you so much for your support.
