   Receptionists are always friendly, polite, helpful and efficient. I’ve always been able to book an appointment when I need it, and always had an excellent experience with the nurses and GPs. So pleased to have such a good GP surgery on my doorstep - I wish they were all like this.

   My appointments with Dr Gwyther and Nurse Jo were informative and you could tell the team takes pride in knowing their stuff. My previous appointments and prescriptions had also been handled sensibly whether in person or by phone/text - both the receptionist and the online system are easy to work with.

   I have been with Newbridge surgery for just over 3 years and they are by far the best surgery I have been to in Bath (or elsewhere). I have found all the doctors and staff helpful and supportive and have always been able to get an appointment when necessary. Although I find the online triage system a bit difficult (as the questions are not always relevant) somebody has always contacted me, and there are no long waits on the telephone trying to get through. Also, the surgery is bright and in a convenient location. I would definitely recommend them

   After an insect bite turned nasty, I emailed them at 3.30 p.m., was telephoned at 4.15 and given an appointment at 5.30 that day. Exceptional service, and very pleasant, competent staff. Much better than my previous Bath practice in all respects!

   Always treated with respect and consideration. Able to get an appointment either face to face or on the phone in a timely fashion. Easy to get a blood test. Fabulous staff. I don’t mind which doctor I see as they are all brilliant.

   If you are suffering from mental health problems, I would not recommend coming to Newbridge surgery. They do not care, they will not try to help you, they will simply stick you into the system and when that leads to nothing they will shrug their shoulders and send you on your way without any further check-ins or care. They will book you in for a flu jab, or offer quick solutions to things like asthma. Their lack of capability for mental health issues is probably indicative of the wider system, but you'd think GPs would want to fight for the health of their patients rather than give up and hide behind bureaucracy. One of the receptionists is helpful and friendly, while another is not, will provide you with unsolicited and incorrect medical advise (e.g. that there are no such thing as prescription hayfever tablets), and seems to view their role as gatekeeper rather than public healthcare facilitator.

My friend has recently experienced terrible service from her GP and I feel so lucky that I am a patient at Newbridge surgery. From the reception staff nurse practitioners to every single one of the doctors I could not be more grateful-Thankyou.

   New patient as my surgery sadly closed and I was very anxious re having a new GP surgery unexpectedly. Just to say that despite the continued awful Covid pandemic , my telephone communication with the reception team and my emergency face to face consultation with the GP when I was concerned about my health have all been excellent .You must all be exhausted working in these circumstances .Thank you so much .
