Referred via Pharmacist to Practice. Contacted within one hour, by the Practice, to arrange appointment with a clinician. The clinician arranged to see me at the surgery on the same day, assessed my condition and provided excellent care. I am very happy with the service received today from the Pharmacy and Harbourside Family Practice. Thank you
We are super lucky to have Harbourside with professional doctors, a nice light modern building and e-consults that stay open all the time. I have poor sleep and really benefit from being able to submit e-consults in the middle of the night or on a weekend. I am actually looking into surgeries in Weston for my boyfriend to register at. I called them all to see how they handle the online triage system and they all close them in the middle of the day - or when they reach capacity which can be after 1 hour - or even 12 minutes! I am so grateful that Harbourside just keeps theirs open all the time so I can submit my requests. And they always call me back - they even try again in the afternoon if I didn’t answer the first time. Receptionists are always nice. Literally no problems ever.
I had to attend the GP practice yesterday for a wound and stitches check. The staff were amazing. The doctors (Dr Ward and Dr Johns) and the nurse (Millie) were professional, kind and caring. They took the time needed without it feeling like a rushed appointment. Due to the time it took to sort me out, the nurse was running behind in her list. I felt very guilty, it wasn’t to be helped but she was so lovely and assured me she would easily catch up. I have a positive experience every time I visit the surgery for the kids or myself. The reception staff are polite and helpful when I book appointments. Thank you very much.
The service I’ve received from the people at Harbourside since moving to Portishead in July 2022 has consistently been excellent. Most recently I submitted an online enquiry at around 5.30pm on a Friday, had a text reply within 30 minutes asking me to phone to make a face to face appointment. I rang immediately and was offered an appointment with the relevant doctor for a few days later. The early morning appointment (7.15) meant it was all done and dusted very quickly and I still had all of the day free. The friendly and efficient receptionists helped to make it all easy and stress-free. Thank you.
Great access - Received a text message the same day as my on-line consultation advising to phone for an appointment. Called the following morning, quick answer and able to book an appointment with my GP of choice the following day! Also very friendly, helpful receptionists and Dr Chan was, as always, caring and empathetic. Great experience. Thank you
Very happy with Harbourside, friendly, helpful receptionists, I’ve not had any problems getting an appointment with an appropriate wait time and the GPs have been great so far. Would recommend.
I find the appointment system at Habourside easy to use and convenient, the receptionists have always been very helpful, professional and kind. I am very happy with any Dr or nurse I've seen at the surgery and found them to really listen to my needs and advise accordingly. They are also brilliant with my children.
Overall, kind of a terrible surgery (but this is the NHS what do you expect), but made up for by an excellent few. It took over 6 weeks of perilous attempts to try and get a simple letter including a medical summary of a condition, getting appointments is tricky, missed and/or late prescriptions have been a constant issue in the past. The majority of the receptionist staff are extremely rude too. I hate having to call, it makes me want to gauge my eyes out with a blunt spoon. But once you get past the receptionists, and speak to the staff with actual skills, then they’re lovely and professional. The receptionists have spoken down to me, mocked me, or otherwise treated me like I’m dirt. Until this changes, unfortunately it’s going to be hard to recommend the entire surgery. Dr Thomas Kelly is absolutely fantastic and he has been such a pleasure to work with every time I’ve had a consultation with him. Elizabeth Durant is also a saint and helped me out during a difficult situation. When I finally got on the phone she did help me out.
I spoke with Paula H on reception this morning. Paula was very helpful and empathetic. After taking Paula's advice I was able to speak with a doctor today, and as a result a plan is underway. It is always nice to speak to with someone who has a natural affinity with members of the public, this is not the first time I have dealt with Paula, she is consistently professional. Paula clearly enjoys her work. Thank you Paula.
