The receptionist are some of the most unprofessional people I have ever had to deal with. They all desperately need retraining on how to politely talk to members of the public without shouting.

Can't get an appointment. The doctor didn't speak to me and sent a message through the receptionist refusing to give me a prescription. A prescription that they are fully aware will save my life. 111 have been wonderful at prescribing this medication for months because Ringland constantly refuses. However, they are no longer able to because of 'red tape'. I will have to call 999 or curl up and die.

Tried calling multiple times this morning to book for a checkup for my epilepsy as I've seen articles about the contraceptive injection that I'm on being in lawsuit for brain tumours, which has made me concerned about how my seizures came back in my early 20's after starting the injection, so all I wanted was advice and a checkup as I've had no proper check up for over 10 years now (called up multiple times telling them the seizures were back but did not have anyone taken me seriously until they referred me to the epilepsy specialist last year, so around 6 years of trying to get help but getting nowhere at the time) but everytime I've called today it has just come up as "line busy" instead of simply putting me on a waiting list so I don't have to keep trying??? What's the point in having a contact number if no one can get through? It's my first time attempting to call since they've announced the new surgery, and I've tried calling other numbers for advice before trying the GP as last resort since I've had so many issues with Ringland GP over the years, but seems like nothing has changed. Since being with them they haven't taken my seizures seriously, a toe infection, and simply getting an appointment for simple issues over the years have been a nightmare. Going to look into changing surgeries because I'm so fed up with having to explain to different services that I'm coming to them first because I have no faith in my GP. Even when I got medical notes for applying with the DVLA, I came to discover that they have not been putting information I told them on file since I was about 14....I'm now 27. They hadn't noted the amount of times I reported more seizures, didn't have on file the age I was when the epilepsy was first discovered, didn't have on file how old I was when they tried to take me off my medication, didn't have the age I was when I went back on medication as a kid, and didn't have notes of when I got put on my most recent medication increase and addition last year. I had to go for an appointment to fill in blanks I didn't know, and the GP had no clue so was just putting random dates onto my application as guesses based off what I was telling him at the time. It's genuinely disgusting. How is so little reported on my file over all the years of calling them about issues with my epilepsy? It's only confirmed in my mind that they simply don't take it serious enough to report, no wonder it took so long to get help. I understand strains the NHS are going through currently as my own sister works with the NHS, but what was the point in creating a bigger surgery if you don't have the means to give good medical service in the old one? I even had to go in 4 times with a seriously bad toe infection and it took seeing a different GP for anything to be done, and he told me off for not seeking help until I told him he was my fourth visit regarding it. Fair to say I haven't seen the GP I saw for my first 3 visits since I told him how long I had been trying to get help. It was so bad my socks were gluing to my toe because of the amount of puss coming out of my toe (sorry for tmi, but all this stuff needs to be addressed) if I could give 0 stars I would because trying to seek more help here is more stressful than just dealing with the issues myself. Disgusted is an understatement to say the very least.

I have to say the reception staff are so rude. They will openly gossip and have conversations loudly among each other meanwhile watching a queue of patients waiting for their attention. Last time I was there the receptionist was openly swearing to her colleague which was so unprofessional. Also Michelle's attitude over the phone is completely unsympathetic and not what you would expect from someone working within the care / healthcare sector. If it wasn't for my GP who is great, I wouldn't hesitate in switching practice. The telephone system leaves a lot to be desired, endless ringing and the lines are often engaged leaving vulnerable patients feeling helpless.

On Friday I called for a sicknote, I had a callback from the doc who wanted to see me, he ended up referring me to the hospital straight away, I was panicking about going so completely forgot about the sick note, as did he. I called this morning (monday) to ask if he had done it; nope, they took the correct number off me and said I'd get a callback, which yes that's fine as they got back to me pretty quick last week, fast forward to 4 o clock and still nothing, after several attempts I finally get back through and they said someone rang me at 5 to 12 on our old landline - that has been defunct for 5 years!!!!!! Despite being given the correct number. Had to give the correct number again and this particular Receptionist (michelle she said her name was) was rude and kept talking over me and rudely said that she cant guarantee the doc would call me today. I should have had this sick note on Friday, I'm now in my 11th day of sickness and ongoing for the foreseeable, and it seems I am being deliberately scuppered from being provided with a sick note. Is there a reason for this? Am I not allowed one? Why is this being done? I am guessing i won't receive a call back today and tomorrow will have to try yet again! So that I don't lose my job while being very unwell!!! Going out of my mind, anxiety attacks are at full force. I cannot believe this is actually happening. The level of incompetency is staggering
