We went for a birthday lunch on Christmas Eve and the service and food were great. I got a halloumi burger and the portion was amazing and it tasted delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and cosy and the service was pleasant. The young girl serving us was really nice and patient. Overall a great lunch!

Lovely old pub with a lovely cozy fire. Friendly staff and easy parking. A little disappointed that they had a festive menu on line but didn't offer it when we visited. Food menu was very good though.

Stayed one night in one of the chalets before an early visit to the Arboretum. Only wish we’d stayed a second night! The chalet was lovely, really nicely done and cosy. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in the pub near the fire. Will be back!

We booked to stay at the Holford Arms as a place near to Westonbirt Arboretum, and we were very pleased. It's a charming, warm place with very old overhead beams in the bar/restaurant area letting you know it's got history. The bedroom was fine, I was pleased to notice a hairdryer available to borrow from a basket in a windowledge in the corridor outside. The bed was very comfy, with a lovely oomfy white duvet and pillows. The shower worked well and was good and hot - maybe larger people (in width and height!) might be challenged getting in and out of the semi-circular shower cubicle, the door for which is very close to the loo, but it was absolutely fine for us. Downstairs the evening meal menu was imaginative and we were very happy with our choices - locally sourced venison with mustard mash for my husband, and a halloumi burger with fries and coleslaw for me. Lovely desserts too. We noted the Holford Arms grows what it can in its own garden, including heritage vegetables, fruit and herbs and likes to source as much as possible from the local area. I was impressed that there was oat milk sachets in the room as well as UHT milk to go with the tea and coffee supplies, and that at breakfast thought had been given to providing gluten-free cereals and vegetarian options. We enjoyed our cooked breakfasts (freshly made to order) too. Friendly hard working staff and a very pleasant experience indeed. We hope to return for another visit and would definitely recommend staying at the Holford Arms for cosiness, comfort and welcoming atmosphere - its proximity to Westonbirt was a great bonus.

We had our wedding at The Holford Arms and couldn’t have been happier! We stayed from Friday to Sunday, and the team did an absolutely fantastic job looking after everyone. The venue is full of charm, and the combination of the pub, onsite accommodation, and camping made it perfect for a relaxed weekend celebration. We felt that the venue really allowed us to make the day our own, giving us the freedom to create the party we had envisioned. The staff were friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that all our guests felt comfortable and well looked after. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion and will definitely be recommending The Holford Arms to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with amazing hospitality!

Stayed a couple of nights here whilst working as a tv extra in the area. Fabulous campsite, my Vw camper (without electric hook up) was only £10 a night. Great shower block, toilets and washing up area. Great pub and food with an excellent seating area behind the main pub. Really friendly Landlord. Highly recommend this place.

We stayed here during the Easter Weekend in 2022. The site itself was quiet, with only 2 other families staying, but you can hear cars from the road albeit a quiet rumble. Fairly level and we did I need the levelling ramps. It looks like the site is under construction with new bell tents popping up. Annoyingly the showers were freezing, and we couldn’t find anyone to ask to fix that. The site would have got at least another star if it wasn't for the showers - £25 per night should guarantee a warm shower next morning. 3 sinks but only two have taps. No bins other than at the bar so people are leaving their rubbish at the sinks in carrier bags. As we couldn't find anyone helpful to talk to before we left, I hope the owners read this review and fix these little issues. We did find a young lad setting up the bar who apologies for the showers but couldn't do anything about it.
