   I spent a very comfortable two nights here, and could have stayed longer. Lovely room, very quiet, good bed, and an adequate breakfast. (I brought my own cafetiere, so enjoyed a good coffee in my room prior to breakfast.). Staff very helpful, and went out of their way with advice etc.. The location is perfect, with some wonderful walking, despite the rain. Look forward to next visit.

   Had a lovely 2 night stay at the Old Mill Lodge. Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Staff were fantastic, especially Ellie and a new chap who you’d think had been working there for years. They couldn’t do enough. We’re so helpful and friendly! Would recommend this hotel to all

   So if I said I left before I even had breakfast and walked into Bath to cool down that should say it all. But... * called reception twice during the night to get the people outside my window and the people next door to shut up. Someone was trying to get into next doors window. * reception was asleep when I called and dealt with first issue but not second one so I had to get dressed and go out to receptio where I tried to press the button on reception and no one came to help. Why is no one on reception and why are the all asleep. * since no one asked room 124 to be quiet between 3 and 4 am I banged on the wall. They came out their room and started shouting to which I went out and told them to be quiet which I received verbal abuse for. No help from the hotel. * toll bridge next to hotel so if your staying there a few day and drive you have to pay a toll for both directions even if you just turn around around * plaster coming off the bathroom ceiling and I had to clean the shower to allow the water to come out as lots of holes blocked. * the walls are so thin. And hand rail coming off wall down to room 125 etc * over sharing reception staff. Pros * I was only there 1 night. I will write a letter of complaint and go through my credit card company for a charge back as luckily I call reception on my phone etc

   I stopped at this hotel only to ask about room availability and parked in their lot for just a few minutes. I didn’t stay overnight or use any facilities, yet I later received a parking ticket in the mail. There were no clear signs or warnings about this policy, and staff didn’t mention that parking was restricted for brief visits. It feels completely unfair and leaves a very negative impression. A hotel should be welcoming to potential guests, not penalize them for simply checking availability. I won’t be returning or recommending this place to others.

   I have given this hotel high ratings based on value for money. My wife and I booked a basic double room for 2 nights at a cost of £163, this included breakfast. We stayed in the main hotel, room 126, it was small and had faults (leaking shower head, curtain part hanging off the rail) however the bed was very comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine, the breakfast room and adjoining decking overlooking the river and working water wheel was lovely. The hotel definitely needs updating however they would then need to increase their rates. At the price we paid it was absolutely fine, if we wish to stay in a more refined hotel next time we will increase our budget accordingly. I would encourage guests to walk along the canal towpath into the centre of Bath, this is approximately 2.5 miles.

   The rooms in the annexe were small but perfectly functional. Extremely clean and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Chloe and the caretaker. Parking is limited but Chloe moved her car so we could get in. I couldn't get my wheelchair into the room but luckily I can walk a little so it wasn't a problem. The downstairs dining room was lovely, the view of the river and the waterwheel was beautiful and the sound of the waterwheel was very relaxing, we both slept incredibly well. The bar is well-stocked and the sofa is really comfortable.

   The hotel its really nice- really friendly staff. Location beautiful. We stay in room 104 i broke 2 toe on the way to the bathroom. The step its really dangerous! The singing on the door its not enough!

   Avoid! Avoid . Probably the worst nights sleep in a long time . The mattress was no Better than sleeping on a concrete floor. Was also kept awake by a light outside the room which should have been on a sensor. Very over priced for an outdated room with poor facilities. Spoke to the hotel manager about the awful mattress. Might as well have spoken to a brick wall. Not even a sorry after I told him I’ll have to see the chiropractor Then to be told there was an extra £5 parking charge which could have been mentioned prior.

   Excellent stay at this hotel. Was greeted to a friendly member of staff called chloe. Very welcoming, gave us all the information we required, especially making us aware of the parking situations in the city centre and also upgraded our room for us which was amazing and thank you so much for that. The views were lovely with the river and toll Bridge, the room, the bed being the best I've slept in within a hotel. Very cosy atmosphere, lovely location, short drive into the city centre or easy to get a taxi ride in too. Stayed Saturday night with me and my partner and had the pleasure of waking up to snow which made me even more special. The breakfast was really nice. Everything was cooked perfectly, sausages, bacon and scrambled egg sorted me for the day ahead in the city centre. Would happily stay here again on out next visit to Bath. Thank you!

   There were several large stains on the carpet. There were brown marks on the underside and top of the toilet seat. The shower fluctuated in temperature so was uncomfortable. Having spoken to staff on the phone we believed it would be a special place with views. Instead we were in a car park with people smoking outside our only window. Incredibly poor quality. Not only were we misled by the conversation with staff in the phone, which is unfair, but the lack of cleanliness is unacceptable.
