We had a wonderful room with a Giant 4 poster bed. with a Garden view, the Staff were really more than friendly and extremely helpfull. The Location is Great, Busses into Bath stop just a few Meters up the road, the ride is about 10 mins. As they say Never judge a book by itβs cover, the outside appearance Isnβt amazing But once Inside, the beauty unfolds.

The lodge was ideal for our stay. There was an issue at check in, it was an no reception check in and there was someone (luckily not in when we arrived) already in the room. Needed to ring the help line and although got us sorted quickly it was a room without a bath which we requested and was acknowledged via booking.com. The rest of the stay was very comfortable with a lovely breakfast. Although we couldn't have a bath.

Hotel is tired and needs quite a bit of TLC. Room was very small with no resemblance to the online photos. The bed was worn out, as were the pillows so not a good sleep. A makeover is required as this has the potential to be a beautiful stay. Stained ceiling and loose plaster, tv not working, wardrobe door almost failing off, extractor fan in bathroom not working are all simple things that good housekeeping could sort. As for the plus points, the staff we met were amazing. A third party bookings site let us down and didn't book a room for one of our party. The member of staff stayed on late to meet us as we were delayed, sorting out the emergency well past his finishing time. The hotel was full on our 2nd night and he very kindly sorted out an AirBNB for our displaced friends. The cook for breakfast was outstanding,.with a hot tasty breakfast each morning. The hotel is only a few hundred yards from a busy bus stop into the city and catching the bus proved the easiest option. A bit of love to the building, maybe make the residents lounge more appealing by having heating and a tv, clear the rubble from the garden and it will be a lovely periodic house to stay at.

Similar to other reviews Service is good and friendly The room we stayed in was clean but needed some tlc to fix damp in ceiling that had been covered over with a piece of paper. Shower needed to be descaled to allow proper flow. Handy location to Bath city by bus or car. Breakfast good but needs to be a bit more generous with Bacon and sausage. For a budget hotel it was clean but pricey the weekend we stayed.

The hotel was quite dated in decor, however our room was in a reasonable condition - comfy bed, clean linen and towels, clean ensuite with nice warm shower, TV worked fine, tea and coffee making facilities, and the cooked breakfast was lovely. Also free wifi, free parking, and a bus stop just round the corner with frequent buses straight into the city. For an overnight stay in Bath, I'd be happy to return.

We had a friendly welcome, we upgraded when we got there as we wanted a bigger room as was staying there a few days. We was away for my husbands birthday( the room we changed from was immaculate, just upgraded to a suite) .. This is a beautiful building, the decor is slightly dated, it was very clean, the suite was huge, beautiful view, the breakfast was faultless, they ask you the day before what you would like, this worked out really well, as well as what was on the cooked menu there was a bowl of freshly prepared fruit to help yourselves, plenty of juices, cereals etc. I would recommend people staying as location is perfect, the staff are excellent and is very clean. Bus stop near the hotel if you wanted to bus into bath. I will definitely be returning there.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. Although a little careworn, the room was immaculately clean, as were the bed linens and towels. We received fresh towels each day and a chocolate on the pillow, which was a nice touch. There was a nice selection on hot drinks and biscuits in the room with the kettle and breakfast was excellent - your breakfast selection is freshly cooked to order and guests could select their breakfast slot. Service was friendly and efficient and the location was great, just a few minutes out of the main town. We chose to use uber when going out to eat and left our car at the hotel. The only small problem we encountered was that a double bed is a little small for my very tall husband but this was as advertised so we can't complain. Its was a great hotel for a short break.

Not easy to find the entrance to the driveway. Good price for the small room. Even though the temperature outside was -4c, the room was very warm but the bathroom was too hot. Good selection of tea and coffee. Kettle needs de-scaling. Staff and manager very helpful. Breakfast was good as we sat in the window, next to the Christmas tree and looking out to the snow on the grass. Town centre is walkable but is quite a walk.

We chose this hotel which was just over a mile or so out of the city centre. The advantages being easy to find, free parking and it sits outside the clean air charging zone. We received a friendly welcome and the room was ready on arrival at 2pm. It was a surprise when we were asked to make our breakfast selection for the following morning however. Our room was a twin. Beds were comfortable, towels fluffy. Bathroom OK. Our shower (over the bath) was "telephone" style, befitting the age of the hotel, but heavy for the wall fitting meaning it had to be held but plenty of hot water and mini toiletries. Tea and coffee making facilities plentiful with selection of biscuits which were most welcome when we arrived back near 1 am. As per other reviews, you'd be hard-pressed to fault the breakfast here. Great selection of cereals, fruit and juices. Toast delivered promptly followed by a freshly cooked breakfast as ordered on check-in. I had the eggs benedict. Eggs poached to perfection. I'd definitely return to this hotel for a stay in Bath and would recommend. Taxi back from the city centre cost Β£13.

Great location and very comfortable room with real coffee and lots of provisions for the duration of our stay. Breakfast was an interesting experience - very nice full English but they'd 'run out' of scrambled eggs so my wife had to settle for a poached egg instead (we were puzzled but it was all a bit chaotic in the restaurant!)
