Lucy is the consumate host, so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We were greeted by a warm smile and easy manner, all the facilities were explained to us and in good working order. Dinner was delicious and filling. We highly recommend staying here, especially if you are doing the Cotswolds Walk.
We stayed at Hill Farm on our last night of hiking the Cotswold Way and it was lovely. The accommodations are beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening with the pretty views of the country side and gardens. Lucy was so welcoming. She got up earlier than usual to fix our breakfast so we could start hiking early the next day to beat the heat. Highly recommended.
We stayed at the Hill Farm accommodation while walking the Cotswald Way in May 2025. This place is excellent. With wonderful hosts and very clean, comfortable accommodation, it was one of our highlights from the trip. The host Lucy and Nick arranged for homemade tasty dinners for us along with dessert which were available to prepare in the unique kitchen that you can use while you stay. They also have laundry available for hikers. Everything here is top-notch and I would highly recommend trying to book in if you can get one of their rooms. My husband and I stayed with Lucy at Hill Farm while hiking the Cotswold Way and it was easily the best accommodation and service of our entire hike. Lucy made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed and even did a much needed load of laundry for us. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.
Amazing location for walking. The friendliest of welcomes. Very nice setup with guest area for making drinks and also a nice place to sit and enjoy the views, and on this occasion the new lambs. Everything you could need. The room was beautifully decorated. Dinner was by far the best quality of the whole trip. Hearty portion too. Immaculately clean rooms. Breakfast was carefully prepared according to request taken the previous evening. If you’re looking for a standout stay we suggest you book now.
Ideally located right on the Cotswold Way about 16km from Bath. Friendly welcome and throughout. We were the only guests; only one room in use out of season. We were in a very comfortable new room of reasonable size and well equipped. Good bathroom. Good range of bits and bobs. As it is quite isolated tasty home-cooked food to be microwaved is provided, and pre-ordered drinks. Good breakfast provided. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended.
Lovely large room. Beautiful shower roomy with a terrific stream. Separate tiny but we'll appointed lichen featured very good facilities for drying boots and washing clothes.
Our favorite stay as we hiked The Cotswold Way. Gorgeous room and our own cozy kitchenette. Laundry facilities. Much needed boot dryer. Delicious meals. Fresh plums and apples from their trees for our packs. Gracious host. Beautiful countryside. Overall a unique experience. We got a very late start the next morning as we didn't want to leave!
We had a wonderful time at Hill Farm. The views are simply amazing. Lucy and Nic are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond for their guests. We loved the fact that we could get up early, prepare our own breakfast and get an early start on the day.
This was by far the best place we stayed in during our walk of the Cotswold Way. We had one night in the shepherds hut and it was lovely. There even was a boot dryer to take care of our soaked shoes. Lucy was a very hospitable host and made sure we weren't short on anything. Definitely recommended!
