I have stayed at this Moxy hotel many times before and have always had lovely experiences, which makes this stay particularly disappointing. From the moment we checked in, the service was far below the standard I’ve previously experienced. The man at the front desk was not welcoming at all and came across as untrained, unprofessional, and rude. While checking in two rooms with my father, his facial expressions were extremely inappropriate and made us both uncomfortable. It was very clear from his reaction that he made an unfair and disrespectful assumption about our relationship, to the point where my father felt compelled to explain that I am his daughter. This was embarrassing and completely unacceptable behaviour from a member of staff. The room itself also raised concerns about cleanliness. I found a sweet under the bed left behind from a previous guest, which suggests the room was not properly cleaned before our arrival. Breakfast was another major letdown. The food selection repeatedly ran out and was not restocked in a timely manner, despite multiple guests complaining. We had paid for breakfast, yet spent a long time waiting for items to be replenished, during which the rest of our food went cold. The overall experience felt disorganised and poorly managed. Given my positive history with this hotel, I was very surprised and disappointed by the lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and service during this stay. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues, as this experience was not reflective of the standards I’ve come to expect from Moxy.

We use Moxy a lot for work, especially for our annual parties and QBRs. We’ve booked 24 rooms (but not a group booking as it worked out cheaper to book them individually). I called this evening with some queries on payments, name changes and confirmation numbers and spoke to Filip - we were on the phone for over 50 minutes, he stayed past his shift ending to help and was an absolute delight! I’m normally nervous for big events because things can go wrong with rooms, but I feel so happy and confident that everything will run smoothly. We very much look forward to continuing to use Moxy Bristol. Thanks again Filip, you’re a star!!

Good hotel but terribly understaffed and poorly managed, which completely lets it down. There was no breakfast because of "poor staffing" and no apology or goodwill gesture! Shocking! Nice facilities and a really convenient location, just a short walk away from Bristol Bus Station. The gym was useful and the lobby area is a comfortable area to hang out in with nice seating. The room was really clean, and the bed was comfortable which is always so important - they also provided plenty of pillows. The only downside was that there is no AC in the winter... Our room was consistently over 24C. There is a sign on the wall explaining that they don't offer AC in the winter because they recommend opening the window instead. This would be reasonable however our room was directly overlooking a very busy main road which was busy 24/7 and very loud. Also the window only opened a small amount hence there wasn't much airflow at all - the lowest I could get the reading in the room to show was 23.5C. There is a fan provided in the room which provides some relief although again, this was loud. Our main issue with the stay was that it was terribly understaffed, and the staff who were there didn't seem to apologise or have the customer service skills to explain this respectfully. When we arrived there was a long queue to check in taking at least half an hour. Breakfast was provided but when we came downstairs in the morning, we were not advised that there was almost no food whatsoever for us to eat. All of the pastries had been completely taken, and there was hardly any hot food left whatsoever. The cereal and oats were all but finished. There were no plates, bowls, cutlery or mugs left. We were left standing in the breakfast area with other guests looking at each other like WTF is going on here, what do we do now? I asked the staff member who simply replied "we're understaffed, they're cooking more food" which consisted of the odd batch of sausages or eggs coming out on their own every 15 mins. They did not apologise, even say sorry once, or offer any compensation. Other guests were complaining that they'd been waiting 45 mins for plates and still didn't have any. This is shocking for an expensive city centre hotel run by the Marriott group of hotels. We probably won't stay again - outrageous.

My partner and I came to stay here for our anniversary. It was our first time here and we would definitely come back again. When we first got to the hotel, it looked fantastic! The decor was great. We were greeted, given our room card and given a welcome drink too! Our room was spacious, everything looked neat and tidy and our bed was very comfortable. We had all supplies we would need, shampoo, conditioner, soap towels etc. In the morning we had breakfast. There were a lot of options both hot and cold. We opted for the help yourself fry up and cold apple juice. All was lovely. Overall would 100% stay here again. Thank you for our stay!

Really lovely staff. Two guys who were working this morning were kind and helpful. And the guy who worked last night was friendly and helpful too. Good facilities. Great rooms that are rather modern and rustic. Quite loud at times due to night life and having a bar and activity area below. The rooms have good facilities and are very modern, however my room smelt like leather cleaner… wasn’t a huge fan of that but I’m sure others might like it. My toilet was also was slightly dirty when I arrived but I understand you can’t expect them to be spotless everywhere.

I stayed at the Moxy Hotel in Bristol a couple of nights ago and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful and brand new, with a vibrant and modern design that perfectly captures the city's energetic spirit. I loved the bar area - it had a lively atmosphere and delicious cocktails, with a DJ in the evenings playing great music. The breakfast was also nice, as they offer a wide range of options to suit all tastes. But what really stands out is the exceptional customer service. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed (a shoutout to Valentino who made my stay even more memorable with his funny personality and amazing customer service). I can't wait to be back guys, thanks a lot! M

Stayed here for a night. Lovely new hotel chain of Marriott. Everything was very new and fresh, you could feel they have just started the business after covid. Would recommend for a short stay. Downstairs is a great big lounge area, sometimes there’s DJ playing. The vibe is youthful and cheerful. It’s also in a good location - easily walkable to the city centre, several Banksy artworks around, if you are a fan

Nice new hotel with a very trendy vibe. Free games and pool with a modern decoration. Gym available too. Special mention to the manager Fernando, very customer focused. Will repeat without a doubt! Thank you for the experience.

Nice hotel, very stylish interior. Rooms and beds are on the small side but very comfy and clean. Shower is nice and has an eco setting. Overall great value for money. Coffee from downstairs however was absolutely awful and made me glad I didn't get breakfast.

Free pool, games and a gym for use were the good parts. The staff are nice but average in terms of service and problem solving. Very much a student bar vibe - loud music during the day even if the lounge/ reception is empty. Food and coffee were standard hotel prices but not the usual quality. Small rooms with a lack of sound proofing, no wardrobe, no bin in the room, and no phone. So any issues you need to go down to reception and join the queue...
