Stayed here for work for 4 nights for work and such a lovely house with a really friendly inviting owner named Karen. The accommodation had everything we needed for the stay and came with a beautiful garden and a picnic bench to sit at during the hot evenings with a meal and a cold beer. Very handy having 2 bathrooms as I was staying with a colleague and 2 bedrooms too. Karen would wave over in the mornings to say hi and greet us in the evenings. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anybody from how welcoming the host was during our stay and the consistency from the level of service.

Absolutely amazing place! I stayed there for a week and I really enjoyed it! Would recommend! Karen is amazing host, who made us feel very comfortable and was extremely helpful with giving us ideas what to do in Bath! If only I could give this place more than 5*, I would give 10!!! Thank you, Karen!

Awe-inspiring. I travel often and far afield: countries, city breaks, exploration tours and as you do, finding those secret little gems that are not online, keep low key selfishly, just so that we can keep returning time and time again, as nobody else knows about it. Well, shall i dare say it, this is one of those special gems (not so much a secret, as the reviews speak for themselves), but I can genuinely say the nicest place I have had the pleasure of staying. My wife and I stayed in the Cosy Nest (New little-gem) for a very special occasion, and to our surprise we were actually the very first to have the pleasure of doing so. The cottage (Cosy Nest) is beautiful, as is the surroundings. (Words cannot do it justice quite frankly). If character is what you're looking for, away from the modern 'everything looks the same' type thought, Big tick for The Lavender Cottage. Secondly, you think you know where the best places to go, eat, walk etc. Well, the Cosy Nest, thanks to Karen (Fabulous host), has a dedicated book cupboard which could keep you up reading all night, let alone the TV and DVD collection and even Games in this quaint beautiful room. Original and sublime. Personally, it's all those added touches, or as I put it the 'didn't need to do/thoughtful gestures' that make the stay all that more. Karen is an excellent host, welcoming, considerate and very much cares that her home is your home; a rarity I am finding more and more. Too many good things to right about that i'd probably be able to publish a thesis by the end of it. To summarise: Highly recommend and only wish we could have stayed longer! Will be back with a larger group of us and stay in The Snug next time in the Summer. Thank you Karen for a lovely stay and overall experience, which thoroughly exceeded my expectations. Tom

Karen is an absolutely wonderful host! The setting is idyllic, the room and views are lovely, and the room is very well appoint to make you feel right at home. The English breakfast is delicious, and Karen will easily accomodate guest preferences, such as only having part of the offering. There's also fruit, juice, and cold cereals. I would definitely recommend, and hope to return one day! Also, it's a very short drive to a park and ride lot. No driving or parking in Bath needed. The bus drops off right in the city centre.
